EXCLUSIVE: Former TOWIE star Jessica Wright spoke to the Mirror about her brother Mark Wright becoming a parent with Michelle Keegan whilst on the BAFTA red carpet Reality TV star Jessica Wright has opened up about her brother Mark Wright becoming a parent. Jess praised her younger sibling and teased why she isn't yet offering to babysit her newborn niece, Palma, for the presenter. Mark, 38, and his wife Michelle Keegan, 37, announced the birth of their "little girl" Palma, who is now two months old, in March. Jess, 39 - who is a parent herself to son Presley, two - later described the couple as "incredible parents". The Mirror caught up with Jess at the BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises. She was among the guests on the red carpet at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall in London yesterday ahead of the TV awards ceremony. Asked what it's been like seeing her brother Mark take on his new role as a parent, Jess told us: "It's been amazing." The former the Only Way is Essex star went on to gush over him and her newborn niece Palma in our interview. Whilst talking about her sibling, she said on the red carpet: "He's taken to it like a duck to water. He's brilliant. He's amazing. He's really a great dad already." Jess shared that she wasn't surprised though, adding: "I had no doubt." Speaking about Mark's daughter, she said: "She's amazing! The best little girl." Jess - who has two nephews through her youngest brother Josh Wright, 35 - then added about the new arrival of the family: "I'm so happy I have a niece." When asked if she's offering to babysit Palma, Jess laughed. She then teased: "Not quite!" She went on to share that her son - who turns three later this month - keeps her busy enough. She said: "Presley keeps me on my toes enough." Her brother Mark previously teased that he enjoyed his "first night out" with his wife Michelle since Palma's arrival at Jess' Have A Heart Gala last month. Jess also spoke to us about the recent fundraising event on the BAFTAS red carpet. The gala was held at the Savoy on April 24 in support of the Brompton Fountain, which supports the care of seriously ill children. It was shared prior that Jess was collaborating with the charity to raise awareness and funds to provide support for children with severe heart and lung conditions. Jess previously announced that her own son, Presley, had been diagnosed with congenital heart disease, Bicuspid Aortic Valve. She shared the news last year and has since spoken about the condition, including having revealed that Presley will need open-heart surgery at some point. Reflecting on the gala, she told us on the weekend: "It was absolutely incredible. The build up to it was pretty intense but I'm so pleased we did it because we raised a quarter of a million pounds, which is pretty epic for a small charity like the Brompton Fountain - so [I'm] absolutely over the moon!" Asked what it means to be involved with an event like the Have A Heart Gala and raise so much money, given her personal connection to the cause, Jess shared her pride. She also expressed hope over its potential impact. She said: "I'm just really proud that I can use my platform to make some good out of some really awful, tragic stuff which is basically, essentially, open-heart surgery on children and other complications within the heart. So yeah, I'm just really, really happy that I can make a change, hopefully in a positive way with the platform that I have so gratefully been given."

Jess Wright reveals the parenting advice she has given to her brother Mark and Michelle Keegan after the couple welcomed their baby daughter Palma
Jess Wright has revealed the parenting advice she gave her brother Mark and his wife Michelle Keegan after they welcomed their baby daughter Palma. The pair announced the birth of their first child last month and have been enjoying the first few weeks of parenthood, heading to Soho Farmhouse in Oxford with their bundle of joy before spending time at the five-star Corinthia London. And Mark's sister has wasted no time imparting some wisdom, drawing on her own experience with son Presley, two. The TOWIE star told OK! 'Obviously now we've got Palma who is going to fit right in. She's adorable! They all absolutely love spending time with each other and Palma is an angel. She's so beautiful and sweet. The boys love her and are very gentle with her. 'It's lovely seeing [Mark and Michelle] as parents, I knew they would be incredible parents and they are. 'We're always with each other anyway and we tell each other little bits - there's always room to help each other out when you have babies. It's all such new territory.' Jess was speaking at a charity event in aid of Presley, who was born with a life-threatening heart condition. Michelle, 37, was also there to cheer on Mark, 38, who was hosting the night to raise money for Brompton Fountain, which supports the treatment and care of seriously ill children at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, credited with saving little Presley's life. He was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease called Bicuspid Aortic Valve when he was a baby. Mark posted on Instagram on Thursday night, writing alongside a picture of the couple, who married in 2015: 'Sharing the snap to Instagram, Mark penned: 'Mum and Dad just got scrubbed up, ready for our 1st night out.' The couple wanted to ensure they looked the part so Michelle got fully glammed up by getting ready at the Corinthia, after all, it had been several months since she enjoyed a night out on the town. They joined guests such as Denise Van Outen, Kimberley Walsh and Zoe Hardman, while Britain's Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas reduced guest to tears with a poignant rendition of Tomorrow. It comes after Mark and Michelle whisked their baby daughter off on their first London city break as a family. The pair often enjoy luxury stays at the Corinthia and took their new-born on her first visit to the five-star hotel. The couple, who live in a £3.5million Essex mansion, announced the birth of their first child in March and have been enjoying the first few weeks of parenthood. They had their first family holiday at the £350-per-night luxury members' club Soho Farmhouse. Mark then took to his Instagram Stories earlier this month to give an insight into the lavish trip to the Corinthia, where hotel staff kindly gave them some adorable gifts for Palma. The doting father shared a sweet video of him and Michelle walking into their very luxurious suite, complete with an extravagant chandelier and spiral staircase. His wife flashed a huge smile as she cradled baby Palma while hotel staff had put photographs of them with their daughter in silver frames on a table. A toy bunny was also placed on the table with 'Palma Wright' written on a red bow around its neck in a heartwarming personal touch. The hotel also gifted the baby a dressing gown and tiny slippers with her name embroidered, with Mark sharing a picture of the items to Instagram. He also gave an insight into their high-end stay, complete with a very lavish meal and stunning rooftop views of London's city centre. 'It's the little touches... special,' Mark gushed in a caption alongside his videos. The star recently opened up about what he's finding difficult as a first-time parent of a newborn on his Heart FM radio show on Thursday morning with his co-host Olly. The revelation came as they read out a message from a listener who said sorting through their clothes is 'tiring'. Mark jokingly responded: 'Lisa, I'm going to go back to what you just said there, it's very tiring sorting your clothes in your room – don't talk to me about tired right now. 'Because Palma, my little baby, is making me extremely tired. I turned up this morning and Olly went "you look shattered".' Laughing, Olly quipped: 'You know what, it's your eyes, it is the first time I've seen these little bags in all the years I've known you, just here, and it is a dad thing, it is a parent thing, all of a sudden you get these little bags under your eyes.' Mark agreed: 'Yeah, they say dad bod don't they, they never warn you about dad eyes.' Despite the lack of sleep, the reality star continued to gush about how much he's loving being a dad. He said: 'It is the best thing ever. It is the best thing ever. Except when I am trying to wind her after a bottle at 2am, nightmare.' Mark described fatherhood as the 'biggest achievement' of his life after welcoming Palma into the world with Michelle on March 6. He told Olly: 'Mate, it's actually hard to put into words. 'It's the biggest achievement of my life its all I think about but obviously hats go off to my wife she is an absolute super human, a superhero for bringing this baby into the world.' Sharing his appreciation for Michelle, he added: 'It makes you realise what our mums did for us and makes me have so much more respect than I already had and what women had to go through. 'It's the best feeling in the world. I wake up every morning just so excited to see her face.' Recalling the first moment he held Palma, he continued: 'That moment when I held her in my arms, it gets me emotional now thinking about it. 'I suppose everything else goes out the window and its made me realise what life is all about and my little baby Palma I love you so much and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. 'It's a very special feeling. I cant really put it into words. We've waited a little bit of time, we've chased our dreams and our careers and now we're here. We've got a baby.' Mark and Michelle announced the news of their daughter's birth last month with a sweet snap shared to Instagram. It's believed the couple chose the name Palma thanks to their strong links to Mallorca, which is their go-to holiday destination and the setting for their pregnancy reveal photoshoot. The couple tied the knot in May 2015 and they live together in a mansion they built from scratch.

EXCLUSIVE Inside Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan's first night out since becoming mum and dad to baby Palma - and how it was nearly ruined by a 'wardrobe disaster'
Smiling in her floor-length black dress, new mum Michelle Keegan looked forward to her first night out since giving birth to baby girl Palma. The actress posed alongside husband Mark Wright at London's five star Corinthia Hotel on Thursday night, as they prepared to make their way over the road to The Savoy. They were there to support the former TOWIE star's sister Jess Wright 's charity event in aid of her son Presley, who was born with a life-threatening heart condition. Michelle, 37, was also there to cheer on Mark who was hosting the night, the Have a Heart gala, to raise money for Brompton Fountain, which supports the treatment and care of seriously ill children at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, which has been credited with saving little Presley's life. He was diagnosed with congenital heart disease called 'Bicuspid Aortic Valve when he was a tiny baby. But Michelle decided to avoid the fanfare of the red carpet by slipping in the side entrance - perhaps to make sure the attention was on Jess rather than her. Instead Mark posted on Instagram, writing alongside a picture of the couple, who married in 2015: 'Sharing the snap to Instagram, Mark penned: 'Mum and Dad just got scrubbed up, ready for our 1st night out.' Regardless, Mark and Michelle wanted to ensure that they looked the part so she got fully glammed up by getting ready at the Corinthia, after all, it had been several months since she enjoyed a night out on the town. Meanwhile, Mark had to make a last minute dash the shops when he realised his white shirt was a little on the snug side. A source said: 'Mark and Michelle wanted to support Jess, it was so important to them and the rest of the Wright family. 'Things have been difficult for Jess but she has received a lot of help and she wanted to give back by holding the event. 'Mark and Michelle travelled to London and Michelle got ready while Mark had to rush out and save his own day with a new, slightly bigger shirt. He saw the funny side.' They joined guests such as Denise Van Outen, Kimberley Walsh and Zoe Hardman, while Britain's Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas reduced guest to tears with a poignant rendition of Tomorrow. There was also an auction during which guests could bid for prizes such as BGT final tickets. One guest told MailOnline: 'Many of us were in tears as we heard some terribly sad stories about children affected by heart conditions.' Last August Jess, 40, revealed that Presley has the disease, writing on Instagram that it was 'something he was born with & happens to a small 1% of us.' She added: 'Essentially, instead of having three leaflets in his aortic valve, like most, he only has two. 'This condition affects how blood flows from the heart to the rest of the body and will require monitoring & care over time. 'I won't go into the full details right now, but while this is please God not a fatal disease, we are coming to terms with the fact that our son will need intervention at least twice in his life.'
