Jess Wright reveals the parenting advice she has given to her brother Mark and Michelle Keegan after the couple welcomed their baby daughter Palma

Daily Mail28-04-2025

Jess Wright has revealed the parenting advice she gave her brother Mark and his wife Michelle Keegan after they welcomed their baby daughter Palma.
The pair announced the birth of their first child last month and have been enjoying the first few weeks of parenthood, heading to Soho Farmhouse in Oxford with their bundle of joy before spending time at the five-star Corinthia London.
And Mark's sister has wasted no time imparting some wisdom, drawing on her own experience with son Presley, two.
The TOWIE star told OK! 'Obviously now we've got Palma who is going to fit right in. She's adorable! They all absolutely love spending time with each other and Palma is an angel. She's so beautiful and sweet. The boys love her and are very gentle with her.
'It's lovely seeing [Mark and Michelle] as parents, I knew they would be incredible parents and they are.
'We're always with each other anyway and we tell each other little bits - there's always room to help each other out when you have babies. It's all such new territory.'
Jess was speaking at a charity event in aid of Presley, who was born with a life-threatening heart condition.
Michelle, 37, was also there to cheer on Mark, 38, who was hosting the night to raise money for Brompton Fountain, which supports the treatment and care of seriously ill children at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, credited with saving little Presley's life.
He was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease called Bicuspid Aortic Valve when he was a baby.
Mark posted on Instagram on Thursday night, writing alongside a picture of the couple, who married in 2015: 'Sharing the snap to Instagram, Mark penned: 'Mum and Dad just got scrubbed up, ready for our 1st night out.'
The couple wanted to ensure they looked the part so Michelle got fully glammed up by getting ready at the Corinthia, after all, it had been several months since she enjoyed a night out on the town.
They joined guests such as Denise Van Outen, Kimberley Walsh and Zoe Hardman, while Britain's Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas reduced guest to tears with a poignant rendition of Tomorrow.
It comes after Mark and Michelle whisked their baby daughter off on their first London city break as a family.
The pair often enjoy luxury stays at the Corinthia and took their new-born on her first visit to the five-star hotel.
The couple, who live in a £3.5million Essex mansion, announced the birth of their first child in March and have been enjoying the first few weeks of parenthood.
They had their first family holiday at the £350-per-night luxury members' club Soho Farmhouse.
Mark then took to his Instagram Stories earlier this month to give an insight into the lavish trip to the Corinthia, where hotel staff kindly gave them some adorable gifts for Palma.
The doting father shared a sweet video of him and Michelle walking into their very luxurious suite, complete with an extravagant chandelier and spiral staircase.
His wife flashed a huge smile as she cradled baby Palma while hotel staff had put photographs of them with their daughter in silver frames on a table.
A toy bunny was also placed on the table with 'Palma Wright' written on a red bow around its neck in a heartwarming personal touch.
The hotel also gifted the baby a dressing gown and tiny slippers with her name embroidered, with Mark sharing a picture of the items to Instagram.
He also gave an insight into their high-end stay, complete with a very lavish meal and stunning rooftop views of London's city centre.
'It's the little touches... special,' Mark gushed in a caption alongside his videos.
The star recently opened up about what he's finding difficult as a first-time parent of a newborn on his Heart FM radio show on Thursday morning with his co-host Olly.
The revelation came as they read out a message from a listener who said sorting through their clothes is 'tiring'.
Mark jokingly responded: 'Lisa, I'm going to go back to what you just said there, it's very tiring sorting your clothes in your room – don't talk to me about tired right now.
'Because Palma, my little baby, is making me extremely tired. I turned up this morning and Olly went "you look shattered".'
Laughing, Olly quipped: 'You know what, it's your eyes, it is the first time I've seen these little bags in all the years I've known you, just here, and it is a dad thing, it is a parent thing, all of a sudden you get these little bags under your eyes.'
Mark agreed: 'Yeah, they say dad bod don't they, they never warn you about dad eyes.'
Despite the lack of sleep, the reality star continued to gush about how much he's loving being a dad.
He said: 'It is the best thing ever. It is the best thing ever. Except when I am trying to wind her after a bottle at 2am, nightmare.'
Mark described fatherhood as the 'biggest achievement' of his life after welcoming Palma into the world with Michelle on March 6.
He told Olly: 'Mate, it's actually hard to put into words.
'It's the biggest achievement of my life its all I think about but obviously hats go off to my wife she is an absolute super human, a superhero for bringing this baby into the world.'
Sharing his appreciation for Michelle, he added: 'It makes you realise what our mums did for us and makes me have so much more respect than I already had and what women had to go through.
'It's the best feeling in the world. I wake up every morning just so excited to see her face.'
Recalling the first moment he held Palma, he continued: 'That moment when I held her in my arms, it gets me emotional now thinking about it.
'I suppose everything else goes out the window and its made me realise what life is all about and my little baby Palma I love you so much and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.
'It's a very special feeling. I cant really put it into words. We've waited a little bit of time, we've chased our dreams and our careers and now we're here. We've got a baby.'
Mark and Michelle announced the news of their daughter's birth last month with a sweet snap shared to Instagram.
It's believed the couple chose the name Palma thanks to their strong links to Mallorca, which is their go-to holiday destination and the setting for their pregnancy reveal photoshoot.
The couple tied the knot in May 2015 and they live together in a mansion they built from scratch.

'He looks to enjoy a night out with the lads and out on the boxing scene with his brother. 'But he's also packed on serious muscle over the last year ready for telly's famous villa and is no longer just a personality hire." Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Olivia Attwood feud erupts as Maura takes drastic action with her and Pete Wicks

Maura Higgins has reportedly ditched Pete Wicks from her social media months after their split. And it appears that his close pal Olivia Attwood has also had the chop by the Irish beauty. The former Love Island star, 34, and TOWIE man, 37, called time on their brief romance in February after appearing to be growing closer. Shortly after, Maura made a comment about Pete "cheating". ‌ Her remarks had Olivia quick to defend her mate insisting that was not the case. She took to Instagram previously to say cheating is "not funny" and said Pete "didn't cheat". Now, following the incident, it appears that Maura has had enough of the pair and is moving on without them. ‌ According to the Sun, the duo have followed Maura's move and have also clicked the unfollow button on the reality TV star's account. Pete and Maura allegedly had a number of rocky rows prior to their split. They had initially started dating last year, but never officially went public with their link-up - nor did they deny it. They were, however, spotted looking cosy on a number of occasions. The pair are said to have known each other for six years before they took their connection to the next level. but only started dating in 2024. Rumours the ex The Only Way Is Essex hunk and former Love Island star were dating began to swirl last year as the Mirror revealed they shared a smooch at the Pride of Britain Awards in October. Maura later posted a steamy TikTok video of the pair practicing a dance move. In the clip, Pete was seen holding on to Maura's leg as she lay on the floor. She then pulled herself up into a standing position, before the duo shared a hug and Maura raised her arm towards the camera. ‌ At the time, the post sent fans into overdrive and questioning their relationship. During her stint in the I'm A Celebrity jungle, Maura kept her cards close to her chest, but gave little hints of their pairing. Away from her love life, Maura won't be returning to the American version of Love Island. She had previously hosted the stateside version of Aftersun. ‌ However, a new presenter has now been revealed. Maura, who was also the social media host of the show, reportedly won't return due conflicting schedule issues. Instead, she will be replaced by Sophie Monk. The star is already familiar with how Love Island works due to being the host of the Australian version. Maura's exit isn't thought to be an "axing" but is rather her stepping back. She is said to be focusing on other projects instead, with some fans believing she could come back to host Aftersun for the second season of Love Island Games, which is set to film in Fiji later this year.

Inside Romeo Beckha new romance as she gets mum Victoria's approval

Romeo Beckham has sparked new romance speculation after being spotted with German model Caroline Daur just weeks after his split from former girlfriend, DJ Kim Turnbull All eyes were once again on the Beckhams this week as son Romeo Beckham was spotted with a potential new flame. Just weeks after the 22 year old called time on his relationship with Kim Turnbull he was seen enjoying some alone time with Caroline Daur, 30. The German has become famous in the fashion world with the model being a recognised blogger. And it appears she has already been given the nod of approval by Victoria Beckham, who has long admired her work. ‌ In 2018, the former Spice Girls' Facebook account asked Caroline for an image of her wearing one of her designs. And the German star has also been present at a number of Posh's fashion shows over the years. ‌ But who is Caroline Daur and how did she make her way in the industry? She previously revealed she is proud to be a "self-made" success. She once said: "I don't have an agent, manager or assistant. I do everything by myself." She rose in the industry in the early 2010s with a successful fashion blog and has since amassed 4.6million Instagram followers. She also has over one million people follower her TikTok account. She is now thought to have a net worth of around €4 million (£3.4million). She has branched out with her work and featured on TV too. She was involved as a guest judge on the German version of Next Top Model. Caroline also launched a series of work out videos which were available to follow online. The model is also set to appear on the small screen once more having landed a role on a German Netflix series. Last year, she filmed for the series titled She Said Yes. Caroline also previously opened up on dealing with ADHD, which she was diagnosed with later in life. "It didn't surprise me," she confessed after revealing the condition. "And it didn't surprise anyone around me either. The diagnosis came late, but it explained so much." ‌ She continued: "'My brain is like an internet browser with 47 tabs open. Sport is the only way I can calm it down. This morning I worked out at 7am, even after a short night. Without it, I just don't function." It remains to be seen how Romeo's family react to any potential budding romance between the pair. The second eldest son of David and Victoria found himself surrounded by rumours of a family feud after his older brother Brooklyn, 26, swerved the siblings' dad's 50th birthday. ‌ Brooklyn was said to have been 'uneasy' about Romeo dating his, ex Kim, who was once close friends with the hot sauce enthusiast. He reportedly felt his parents were 'favouring' his younger brother, who was seen beaming in snaps from David's birthday. Amid the fallout, Romeo and Kim ended their partnership and now appears to be getting cosy with the German model. The duo were spotted in Paris together, having reportedly bonded over their love of Tennis. Both were attending the Men's Singles Semi Final at the French Open on Friday.
