Fire on tracks disrupts CTA Brown Line at Paulina
A fire on the tracks disrupted the Chicago Transit Authority Brown Line in the Lakeview, Roscoe Village, and North Center communities during the Monday evening rush. Some trash caught fire on the tracks near the Paulina stop, at Lincoln Avenue and Paulina and Roscoe streets. Railroad ties also caught fire, according to initial reports. CTA Brown, Red Line trains snagged at Fullerton due to person on tracks
A person on the tracks snagged trains on the Red and Brown lines at the Fullerton stop Monday afternoon. The Chicago Transit Authority said at 1:50 p.m., Red and Brown Line trains were standing with major delays at the Fullerton stop, in the Lincoln Park neighborhood near the DePaul University campus, because of an unauthorized person on the tracks. Further information about the person on the tracks was not provided. The CTA said Brown Line shuttle buses were running between the Merchandise Mart and Southport stops, while Red Line shuttle buses were running between the Wilson and North/Clybourn stops.
