‘Pop pop pop': Sherwood officer involved in shooting

The shooting at 21900 SW Langer Farms Parkway happened around 4:20 p.m., officials said. The details of what happened, who fired and what led up to the shooting have not been disclosed. But Sherwood police said the 'suspect is in custody.'
KOIN 6 News saw a white truck with apparent bullet strikes in the windshield in the area roped off by crime scene tape.
Bruce Cooper, a Sherwood resident in the area, told KOIN 6 News he was in his backyard when he heard the shooting.
'It was, pop pop pop, like, and then maybe one more after that,' Cooper said. 'We were in the pool, in the backyard, and, we heard, oh, I thought it was fireworks going off. And then, all of a sudden I heard them coming through the trees. Whether that was the sound or the bullets, I don't know. It was pretty wild.'
Another Sherwood resident, Pat Ochs, said the entire incident was 'very shocking. Very shocking.'
Officials with TVFR told KOIN 6 News the shooting was near the fire station but no firefighters were hurt. However, fire officials said crews responded to treat two people, who were both taken to a nearby hospital.
It is not clear at this time who the two injured people are, what their injuries are or their prognosis.
The case is open and active.
The Washington County District Attorney's Office will assign the primary agency to investigate the shooting incident.
