Last Updated:
A Lamborghini owner kept his 1972 Miura SV hidden from eyeballs and preserved it in top condition, as revealed in a viral clip on August 11 over Instagram.
A long-preserved 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV was revealed in prime condition over the internet in a viral clip that grabbed everyone's attention on Monday, August 11. Once an extremely popular version of Lamborghini, the 1972 Miura SV had been kept hidden by the owner for decades behind a bricked-up wall.
According to 'insidehistory', the video is from northern Italy, where a veteran automobile enthusiast kept his prized possession away from the gaze of others for over 40 years after purchasing the Lamborghini Miura SV at a hefty sum.
When Was This Lamborghini Miura SV Purchased
'A 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV, hidden for decades behind a bricked-up wall in northern Italy, has finally been revealed. Purchased in 1975 for just $11,000, the owner held onto the car for over 40 years, refusing every offer!" revealed the viral post, with a clip attached next to it.
In the clip, one can see the owner finally taking the classic Lamborghini model out of his garage, looking in prime shape despite crossing 4 decades since it was manufactured by the leading sports car maker. The post claimed it had been purchased at a price of $11,000 by the owner, who held it close to his heart and refused offers to resell the great vehicle.
1972 Lamborghini Miura SV Found In Rare Bruno Metallizzato
The colour of this 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV instantly caught eyeballs, as it was finished in a rare Bruno Metallizzato, which is 'one of only two known in this colour". The post also said that the unrestored, seventh-from-last Miura SV will remain preserved in Italy by the owner, whose prized car and dedication to preserving it got the internet applauding.
'It's absolutely gorgeous! This car is spectacular! I bet every material used is authentic. From the leather to the wood & the precious metals. A far cry from the plastic & aluminium-made cars these days. It better be worth millions now! The interior alone is like artwork. It's beautiful!" wrote one user.
Someone else wrote, 'I'm not a car person, but THAT is a beautiful car."
Another, however, raised suspicion over the car's back story because of how pristine it appeared despite reaching 40 years with the owner.
'The back story behind this car seems a bit far-fetched. Definitely in too much of an excellent condition to have been sitting around for all of those years and the tires never went flat or anything," they wrote.
