Shedeur Sanders Has Been Stopped Twice By Police

Shedeur Sanders Has Been Stopped Twice By Police originally appeared on The Spun. The hits keep coming for Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Sanders, a fifth round NFL Draft pick, was reportedly pulled over by police in Ohio on Tuesday morning. Shortly after midnight, Sanders was reportedly pulled over for allegedly driving 101 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. He was reportedly given a citation and could appear in court, if he chooses to fight the ticket. Advertisement However, this was not the only time that Sanders has been pulled over by police. ESPN reported on Thursday, June 19 that Sanders has actually been pulled over twice for speeding. He was pulled over for speeding 91 MPH in a 65 MPH zone. From the report: According to a Medina [Ohio] Municipal Court record that was filed June 6, Sanders was pulled over by the Ohio State Patrol earlier this month. In that alleged violation, which took place June 5 in Brunswick Hills, Ohio, The Ohio State Patrol told WKBN-TV that Sanders was stopped for driving 91 mph in a 65-mph zone. According to the record, Sanders failed to appear for an arraignment for that citation on Monday and faces $269 in fines and court costs. He was then stopped by an officer for the Strongsville (Ohio) Police Department at 12:24 a.m. Tuesday morning for driving 41 mph over the posted 60 mph speed limit in a black Dodge TRX truck. The Browns are standing by Sanders, for now. "He is taking care of the tickets," team spokesman Peter John-Baptiste told Meanwhile, while the Browns are sticking by Sanders, Fox Sports 1 host Colin Cowherd is not. This is not good for a quarterback," he said on his "The Herd" show on Thursday afternoon, June 19. Advertisement "I do not cling to opinions. New information, new opinion. I don't think about him the same. When you fall to (pick) 144 in the draft, and then you try to match that number behind the wheel of a car, I don't think the same. "You ignored signs about Manziel and Baker. And, apparently, based on the traffic violation, Shedeur was avoiding some signs, too - that say stop. I'm not sure he's mature enough. Now I'm going to have to like Kenny Pickett." Embarrassing moment cop fails to recognize NFL Draft flop Shedeur Sanders after catching him speeding

Shedeur Sanders was forced to explain who he is to an Ohio cop who recently pulled over the NFL rookie for speeding. The 23-year-old is the son of ex-NFL and MLB star Deion Sanders. The quarterback was recently selected by the Cleveland Browns following a humiliating slide to the fifth round of the NFL draft. Since then, Sanders has continued to make headlines for the wrong reasons. Twice this month the quarterback has been pulled over for speeding. One of the incidents saw Sanders stopped for allegedly going 91mph in a 65mph zone in Medina County, Ohio. It came on June 5, with the rookie pulled over in the Cleveland suburb of Brunswick Hills by the Ohio State Patrol. In new footage, obtained by TMZ, the 23-year-old is seen handing over an out-of-state ID to a trooper, who asks: 'What's with the Mississippi ID?' Sanders then explains that he used to play college football in Jackson. He was the quarterback at Jackson State before moving to Colorado with his father. 'He doesn't know who you are,' the other cop told the 23-year-old before his partner joined the dots. 'Oh. Sanders. Gotcha,' he said. Sanders' fame did not save him from punishment, however. He faces $269 in fines and court costs over the incident but failed to show in court for his arraignment, according to The arraignment was scheduled for June 16 and just one day later he was pulled over again. The Browns rookie was reportedly cited for speeding over 100mph in Cleveland. Local news station Fox9 claims Sanders, who was infamously selected 144th overall at this year's NFL Draft despite initially being projected as a first-round pick, was pulled over by an officer at around 12:24 am in the Cleveland suburb of Strongsville on Tuesday, June 17. The 23-year-old quarterback was allegedly clocked driving at 101mph, 41 miles over the speed limit.

Browns rookie QB Shedeur Sanders ticketed for speeding twice in June

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been ticketed for speeding twice this month in Ohio. Sanders was accused of driving a Dodge TRX pickup truck 101 mph (163 kilometers per hour) on a suburban Cleveland interstate earlier this week. Advertisement The Strongsville Police Department stopped Sanders at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in a 60 mph (97 kilometers per hour) zone on Interstate 71 near the Ohio Turnpike, according to a report provided to local media. Sanders, 23, could pay a $250 fine to waive the fourth-degree misdemeanor case, according to police. But it wasn't the first time he'd been pulled over for allegedly speeding since joining the Browns. That ticket came after he was stopped by the Ohio State Patrol on June 5 in Brunswick Hills, Ohio. Sanders was pulled over for going 91 mph (147 kilometers per hour) in a 65 mph (105 kilometer) zone, Ohio State Patrol told WKBN-TV. Advertisement According to Medina Municipal Court records, Sanders failed to appear for an arraignment for that ticket on Monday and owes $269 in court costs. Browns spokesman Peter John- Baptiste told Thursday that: 'he is taking care of the tickets.' Sanders, the son of Hall of Fame player Deion Sanders, was drafted in the fifth round (144th overall) of the NFL draft this spring, even though many projections had him going in the first round. He played under his father at the University of Colorado. Sanders is competing against three other quarterbacks with the Browns. They wrapped up minicamp last week and will open training camp in late July. ___ AP NFL: The Associated Press
