Embarrassing moment cop fails to recognize NFL Draft flop Shedeur Sanders after catching him speeding

Daily Maila day ago

Shedeur Sanders was forced to explain who he is to an Ohio cop who recently pulled over the NFL rookie for speeding.
The 23-year-old is the son of ex-NFL and MLB star Deion Sanders. The quarterback was recently selected by the Cleveland Browns following a humiliating slide to the fifth round of the NFL draft.
Since then, Sanders has continued to make headlines for the wrong reasons. Twice this month the quarterback has been pulled over for speeding.
One of the incidents saw Sanders stopped for allegedly going 91mph in a 65mph zone in Medina County, Ohio. It came on June 5, with the rookie pulled over in the Cleveland suburb of Brunswick Hills by the Ohio State Patrol.
In new footage, obtained by TMZ, the 23-year-old is seen handing over an out-of-state ID to a trooper, who asks: 'What's with the Mississippi ID?'
Sanders then explains that he used to play college football in Jackson. He was the quarterback at Jackson State before moving to Colorado with his father.
'He doesn't know who you are,' the other cop told the 23-year-old before his partner joined the dots.
'Oh. Sanders. Gotcha,' he said. Sanders' fame did not save him from punishment, however.
He faces $269 in fines and court costs over the incident but failed to show in court for his arraignment, according to Cleveland.com.
The arraignment was scheduled for June 16 and just one day later he was pulled over again. The Browns rookie was reportedly cited for speeding over 100mph in Cleveland.
Local news station Fox9 claims Sanders, who was infamously selected 144th overall at this year's NFL Draft despite initially being projected as a first-round pick, was pulled over by an officer at around 12:24 am in the Cleveland suburb of Strongsville on Tuesday, June 17.
The 23-year-old quarterback was allegedly clocked driving at 101mph, 41 miles over the speed limit.

Bill Belichick sheds new light on Jordon Hudson romance in leaked emails after disastrous CBS interview

Bill Belichick 's attempts to defend his relationship with Jordon Hudson and his disastrous interview with CBS have been laid bare in emails that emerged Friday. The legendary NFL coach, 73, is preparing for his first season in college football but his tenure has been so far overshadowed by headlines surrounding his romance with Hudson, 24. A string of explosive reports have emerged over recent weeks, in the wake of a humiliating interview with CBS, when Hudson shut down questions about the start of their relationship. The clip went viral and sparked fresh speculation surrounding Hudson's influence over the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach. One clip of her at UNC practice caused a particular headache for the legendary coach and soon reports emerged that she had been banned from the team's facilities. UNC denied that was the case. Now emails obtained by WRAL detail the fallout from the CBS interview. They show that disgruntled fans felt the relationship was turning the school into a 'laughing stock'. In the emails, however, Belichick defended Hudson and their romance. 'Jordon and I have both a personal & professional relationship,' Belichick wrote to Beth Keith, a senior associate vice chancellor in the Office of University Communications. 'This is not a secret... Jordon assists me with my personal media, which is why I asked UNC to forward media requests (E.G. CBS 60 Minutes) to her. 'Jordon has zero involvement in the UNC football program, beyond the degree that my personal media intersects with it.' He also explained why his young girlfriend was at the interview, which was organized to promote his new book: 'The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football.' 'Jordon was present at the CBS interview because David Kass, the Simon & Schuster publicist, was not there,' Belichick claimed. 'I included Jordon in the book acknowledgments because she was a creative contributor to the book, including having the idea for formatting the 4 special pages in the book.' According to WRAL News, however, Hudson intended to sit in on the April 21 interview regardless of whether Kass was there. Belichick defended his girlfriend's interruption and accused CBS of setting up a 'secret' camera to capture her input. 'I met Jordon randomly on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021. That is no secret. Jordon was not dodging the specific question regarding how we met, but rather was preventing the interview from continuing to probe into personal matters,' Belichick wrote. The 73-year-old also claimed, per WRAL, that at the start of the interview Hudson asked where she could sit 'off-camera' but 'secretly, CBS had a camera focused on Jordon where Lead producer Gabe (Gabriel Falcon) instructed her to sit.' He added: 'For approximately 35 uninterrupted minutes, (CBS host Tony Dokoupil) asked questions about the book... then, the questions shifted to other subjects that were not related to the Art of Winning, which we had outlined as off-limits with my book publicist.' WRAL also revealed an email from a disgruntled UNC fan and former student who said they have 'never felt compelled to write a letter to our leadership, until now. I'm writing in response to the actions taken by Bill Belichick and his 24 year old girlfriend.'

Louis Rees-Zammit puts deadline on NFL dream as he plans return to rugby

Louis Rees-Zammit puts deadline on NFL dream as he plans return to rugby The former Wales rugby star faces a critical summer but believes he can return to rugby and excel once again Louis Rees-Zammit of Wales (Image: 2023 World Rugby ) Louis Rees-Zammit has admitted the clock is ticking on his NFL career as he revealed he plans to return to the highest level of rugby if the next year doesn't work out. The Welshman faces a crucial summer in his American Football journey as he bids to make the 53-man roster at Jacksonville Jaguars after spending last year on the practice squad. He has now put a deadline on his NFL chances, admitting this year will likely make or break his dreams. ‌ He will spend the summer trying to impress in pre-season training and matches but knows if he gets cut by the Jaguars, as he was by Kansas City Chiefs, it could all be over. And, for the first time, he has talked in detail about his plan to return to rugby in the next couple of years if things don't work out. ‌ He told talkSport: "International (NFL) players get probably two to three years to make it in the NFL. "I was 22 when I left. So I wanted to do it at a time where I maybe could come back to rugby. "I'm 24 now, probably got one year, or one to two more years to try and make it, depending on how this year goes. I'll be 25, 26 going back to rugby. I like to think I can still play at the highest level." Article continues below Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Louis Rees-Zammit in training on June 12 (Image: ©Icon Sportswire ) Rees-Zammit, who is in the UK to promote the Jaguars' games in the London later this year, has previously declined to contemplate his NFL mission ending, but knows time is running out as he faces a decisive summer. The former winger is currently a designated International Player Pathway player on the Jags' books and faces three potential outcomes at the end of this summer. He will either make the 53-man roster for next season, meaning his NFL career can really take off, or he could remain a practice squad player for the season as he continues to develop and hope for a breakthrough. ‌ The third option could see him cut by the Florida outfit. While he could then be signed up by another team, that scenario is perhaps unlikely and could herald his return to rugby. When he does return, he believes he will come back a better player. "I've learnt so many different movements that I never even thought about in rugby," Rees-Zammit said. "The way you train is so much different, but I think that would help me massively. ‌ "When I was playing rugby, I went to America twice to train and the things I learned there I knew straight away would help my game. "Now, having two years of it, I think if I did have to go back I'll definitely be able to excel again." Rees-Zammit hopes to prove himself during the Jaguars' pre-season schedule, which begins on August 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Article continues below They then play the New Orleans Saints and the Miami Dolphins later in August before the final call is made on the 53-man squad on August 26.

BREAKING NEWS Travis Kelce set for Taylor Swift reunion as NFL star lands in New York after brief return to Chiefs practice

Travis Kelce was pictured landing in New York on Friday night ahead of a potential reunion with girlfriend Taylor Swift. The Chiefs star has been away from the singer in recent days after returning to Kansas City for the team's three-day mandatory training camp. Kelce's slimmed down physique after a grueling offseason was the talk of the practice field as he prepares for the new NFL season after deciding not to retire. But he quickly fled Kansas City to return to New York and was seen stepping off a private jet with bags and a tablet in his hands. It is unclear if Swift is in the Big Apple but the couple have spent plenty of time together in the city before. Kelce was dressed casual in a US soccer T-shirt, blue shorts, and white trainers. He was joined on the trip by close friend and former teammate Ross Travis. The airport's baggage handlers appeared to be removing a set of golf clubs from the plane, with Kelce maybe trying to get some practice in before an appearance at the famous American Century Celebrity tournament early next month. Baggage handlers were carrying a set of golf clubs ahead of Kelce's appearance in an event Kelce and Swift were last seen together at Game 4 of the Stanley Cup in Florida last week. The superstar couple, who had been enjoying a romantic vacation in Florida during Travis' offseason break, were spotted taking in some NHL action between the Panthers and Edmonton Oilers. Reports on the night claimed a helicopter landed near the venue roughly 50 minutes before the puck drop, with the VIP entrance and elevators to the press box also closed to the public as Kelce and Swift made their grand arrival. They were first seen walking through the corridors of the arena and heading out to their seats shortly after the game had begun in Florida. The pop megastar wore a stylish cream white jacket with matching shorts and vanilla leather boots, while her beau opted for more of a casual look in a red sweater, matching shorts, white sneakers and a baseball cap. Yet despite talk of a secret wedding, Taylor was not flashing a wedding ring at the game, instead wearing the sparkly diamond 'TNT' bracelet - short for 'Travis and Taylor' - that her lover famously had made for her last year. They were then picked out by TNT Sports cameras sitting in the stands as Kelce showed his girlfriend something on his phone. Swift seemed in astonishment at whatever he had on his screen as she appeared to say: 'Oh wow!' They were in the house for a dramatic encounter between the Panthers and Oilers in Florida It has been a particularly busy week for Kelce. Not only did he practice in Kansas City but he was also in Cannes with brother Jason. The duo were among the invited guests at the Amazon Port Panel in the iconic French town, where the Kelces dutifully promoted their highly successful podcast, New Heights. Less than 24 hours later, Travis was back to work at his other job preparing for the upcoming 2025 NFL campaign. Unlike last year, when he and Swift couldn't stay out of the spotlight, Travis has enjoyed a much quieter break from NFL duties this time around, with the couple keen to unwind together away from the cameras in recent months.
