Ex-Steelers CB on T.J. Watt drama: 'He's not even the highest paid player on this team'
T.J. Watt's contract drama has taken over headlines — and CBS Sports has weighed in.
Ex-Steelers CB turned CBS Sports analyst Bryant McFadden supported Watt on the issue, arguing that DK Metcalf's $33 million per season could play a role:

'[Watt is] not even the highest paid player on this team,' McFadden said via CBS Sports HQ. 'An outsider is the highest paid player on the Pittsburgh Steelers, and what I mean when I say outsider — a player that played with another organization. T.J. Watt is a homegrown player. They drafted him — he's developed to be one of the best playmakers in the National Football League on the defensive side.'
McFadden continued by highlighting how Metcalf's contract, as well as Watt's competition with Myles Garrett, is playing a huge role in the extension holdup.
Agreeing with CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones, McFadden concluded that if Watt doesn't get a new deal soon, he will 'hold-in' for training camp.
