Wyoming Man Arrested at Buffalo Airport After Driving Cart on Moving Walkway
A Wyoming man was arrested at Buffalo Airport early Monday morning after allegedly driving an airport service cart down a moving walkway, causing damage and drawing the attention of authorities.
According to the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA), Kevin Sinning, 29, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was taken into custody around 1 a.m. at Buffalo Niagara International Airport. Authorities allege that Sinning commandeered an unattended Prime Flight cart and drove it down a moving walkway inside the terminal.
The unusual and dangerous act resulted in damage to both the cart and the walkway system. NFTA police said the incident caused a temporary disruption in airport operations, though no injuries were reported.
When approached by officers, Sinning allegedly appeared intoxicated, prompting further investigation and arrest. He is now facing charges related to property damage and public intoxication.
This incident adds to a growing number of alcohol-related disturbances in airports nationwide, raising concerns about security and safety in high-traffic transit hubs.
NFTA has not yet released further details regarding the potential charges or court appearance dates for Sinning.
