The next Fortnite update is set to arrive sooner rather than later, and with it will come a few bug fixes to ensure the game continues to run smoothly. Here's what you need to know about Fortnite update 37.10.
Fortnite is gearing up for the first update of its new season, promising significant bug fixes (not the type you're imagining), and a handful of fresh quests to keep players engaged.
We're currently in the midst of the bug takeover in Fortnite, and things are shaping up nicely. It's often challenging to predict how successful a season will be from its initial weeks, but with the previous season offering the Super Battle Pass and the Blitz Royale mode, it certainly has high standards to meet.
So far, we've been fortunate – the Shock 'N Awesome Battle Pass is brimming with cosmetics that players are eager to get their hands on, and the official debut of the Mighty Morpin' Power Rangers has resulted in a massive island takeover, with Tokusatsu heroes battling each other in unplanned moments of outfit coordination. It's been enjoyable so far, and although the Bug Queen may not be remembered as one of the game's better bosses, we're still having a blast.
However, change is already looming, with a new Fortnite update rapidly approaching to ensure the game is equipped with the necessary files to continue progressing. So, when is the next Fortnite update? Here's what you need to know.
When is the next Fortnite update?
The forthcoming Fortnite update is scheduled for Tuesday, 26 August at 1am PDT / 4am EDT / 9am BST. This date has been confirmed by a tweet from leaker @Hypex, and the time is an estimation based on the start times of previous server shutdowns, like for update 36.30 and the 36.20 downtime.
We can expect more downtime to accommodate this update into the game, anticipated to last between two and three hours. This will take the launch up update 37.10 to around 4am PDT / 7am EDT / 12pm BST.
What's new in the next Fortnite update?
At present, not much is known about the first update of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, especially as the update that came before it delivered so much new content in one fell swoop – but there are a few snippets we can glean thanks to a few leakers in the Fortnite community. There's not a lot that we know about the incoming gameplay changes to the update, but this certainly indicates that Fortnite is going to become a little easier to use with a new demo and thin client to get stuck into. If you're holding out for the new Kai Cenat Icon skin, you're going to have to wait until 37.20, but maybe it'll be worth the wait if rumours of the new 'companion' cosmetic item arriving at the same time are to be believed.
