Need for coordination between TUDA and panchayats stressed
Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) Chairman C. Diwakar Reddy stressed the need for enhanced coordination between the urban development authority and the gram panchayats coming under its purview, for seamless and successful implementation of the rules.
At a training programme organised by TUDA for the delegates of local bodies such as panchayat secretaries and MPDOs on the amendment to building and layout rules here on Wednesday, he explained the advantages of having authorised layouts and approved buildings in the panchayats. 'Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is keen on implementing the urban development rules for the benefit of the public,' he said.
TUDA Vice-Chairman Shubham Bansal offered to support village functionaries in successful implementation of the said rules and sought the cooperation of the panchayat secretaries for adherence to the rules.
Assistant Collector Sandeep Raghuvanshi told the delegates to identify unauthorised layouts in their villages and help TUDA in regularising them.
Divisional Panchayat Officer Suseela Devi, TUDA Secretary N.V. Sreekanth Babu and Chief Planning Officer Devi Kumari Devi Kumari also spoke at the event. Right from the procedure for building application, the meeting discussed delegation of powers to panchayats, Building Penalisation Scheme (BPS 2019), advantages of having approved buildings and layout permissions.
