This dazzling tribute marks the 78th anniversary of Pakistan's independence and celebrates the vibrant Pakistani community residing in the UAE.
The spectacular illumination is part of a heartfelt gesture that underscores the longstanding and robust ties between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, and serves as a vivid display of solidarity with Pakistani expats and citizens alike.
The flag-lighting event unfolds amid a day of community-wide celebrations. Earlier, flag-hoisting ceremonies took place at the Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate in Dubai, where hundreds of attendees participated with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
Notably, this visual tribute at the Burj Khalifa follows a grand Independence Day celebration held at Dubai Expo City on August 10, which saw an estimated 60,000 community members come together in solidarity and festive spirit—the largest of its kind to date.
