Like the original look, the new dress also had off-the-shoulder sleeves that draped across her arms, but Aguilera's latest version of the outfit also had thin halter straps rather than a strapless neckline. The "Genie in a Bottle" songstress also changed up her hair for the new photo, letting her wavy, bleach-blonde locks down for the pics. Christina Aguilera Puts a Gothic Spin on Her Early 2000s Hair and Makeup Combo at ‘Burlesque: The Musical' Photo Call

Christina Aguilera evolved her early 2000s beauty combo into an otherworldy aesthetic for the 'Burlesque: The Musical' photo call in London on Monday night. Instead of the bold, fiery red lipstick she once routinely partnered with her bleach blond hair, the 'Lady Marmalade' vocalist opted for a darker, more sinister lip shade and a stark hair color. Outside the Savoy Theatre, Aguilera's moody makeup consisted of dark brown brows undercut by white-gold shimmer on her lids, lash clusters on the outer corners of her eyes, highlight layered over a purple-toned blush on her cheekbones and a deep wine-colored lipstick that blended seamlessly with her black lip liner. There was a thin stripe of charcoal shimmer under her waterline, bringing out her cool-toned contour on the sides of her face. In certain lights, however, it appeared as if the coloring was tinged with white; her dark roots casting a shadow around her head. Her long tresses were flat-ironed and smoothed down, brushing over the front of her shoulders. Partnered with her murky green ribbon corset gown and black over-the-knee baggy boots, her entire aesthetic settled somewhere between the Evil Witch in 'Snow White' and a rebellious, medieval princess, both a far cry from the soft, old Hollywood-esque glam she donned over the weekend at the 'Burlesque: The Musical' show. Typically, Aguilera will collaborate with makeup artist Etienne Ortega — who also works with Lana Del Rey, Kris Jenner, Mariah Carey and Demi Lovato — and hair architect Igor Rosales; however, it's not confirmed whether either worked with her on this look. Even at the very beginning of her career, with the launch of her debut album in 1999, Aguilera was always a fan of a heavy eye look and prominent lip shade. The cover of her eponymous record saw her pose with ultra-thin brows — a resurging beauty trend now — and black shadow dragged over her lids and under her eyes. Moving into the 2010s, the 'Beautiful' singer centered her persona around her love for red lipstick. Occasionally, she would wear a pale nude color, but it was a rare sighting when she wasn't sporting a vibrant shade. In the years since, she's noticeably leaned into natural makeup trends, wiping away her matte lip for a glossy pink one instead. Aguilera starred in the film version of 'Burlesque' alongside Cher in 2010. How Christina Aguilera's ‘Burlesque' Style Has Evolved in 15 Years: From Classic Hollywood Flair to West End Edge

Christina Aguilera first showed the world how to burlesque in 2010, while starring as Ali Rose alongside Cher in Steve Antin's 'Burlesque' film. Now, 15 years later, the singer is back on the red carpets to promote a movie-to-stage adaptation of the project, signing as co-executive producer of 'Burlesque: The Musical' in London. Attending the musical premiere on Tuesday, Aguilera drew inspiration from the burlesque universe, known for its provocative allure, and arrived in a bondage-inspired minidress featuring extensive lace-up corset detailing. Her beauty complemented the bold aesthetic, with her long, blond hair styled sleek and straight, and her makeup featuring dramatic contouring and a dark lip color. Aguilera's lingerie-inspired moment marks a departure from the singer's red-carpet wardrobe of 2010. Attending the London premiere of the film that year, the singer sported a more conservative look, wearing a black midi dress with draping and lace details from Zuhair Murad's spring 2011 collection. A furry stole completed her look, which would easily fit in TikTok's mob wife style trend. During the movie's promotional tour, Aguilera also walked the red carpet in Los Angeles in a strapless green dress from Elie Saab's fall 2008 collection, paired with sky-high Louboutin heels. The singer is also revisiting her wardrobe choices while promoting 'Burlesque: The Musical.' On Monday, during the musical's photo call in the West End, Aguilera wore a green dress from Versace's fall 2003 collection, which she had previously worn in a 2003 campaign for the Italian house shot by Steven Meisel. Aguilera currently works with stylist Chris Horan, who is also responsible for Charli XCX's wardrobe. Horan has dressed Aguilera in looks from Dolce & Gabbana, Acne Studios, Diesel, Celine and Marine Serre, among others. 'Burlesque: The Musical' officially opened on Tuesday at the West End in London, following previews that began on July 10 at the Savoy Theatre. The musical features songs by Aguilera and Sia.
