Repairs complete at Byron outdoor pool
The City of London has announced that repairs have been made at Byron outdoor pool. The facility reopened on Tuesday. The pool's pumping system had sustained electrical damage last week during severe weather. All of the city's outdoor pools and wading pools are now open seven days a week for the summer. The city offers several aquatic programs, including recreation swim, lane swim, aquafit and parent and tot swim. Electrical damage from storm forces closure of Byron community pool
A setback for recreational pool users in London's Byron neighbourhood. The city has announced the Byron outdoor pool has been closed due to electrical damage to its pumping system from this week's storm. That means all recreational programs at the Brock Lane facility have been cancelled for the coming week. In a news release Thursday, the city said, 'Anyone registered for programs at this location will be contacted by the City of London to arrange alternative locations or a refund.' All other City of London outdoor pools and wading pools will be open seven days a week for the summer beginning June 28, according to the release.

Electrical damage forces temporary closure of Byron outdoor pool, recreation programs
Byron's outdoor pool and recreational programs at the site will be closed starting Thursday as a result of electrical damage from this week's severe weather, city officials say. The pool's pumping system was damaged and is undergoing repairs, causing all activities to be cancelled for the coming week heading into July. "We know how much the community was looking forward to using the pool this weekend, and we will be working on resolving this issue as quickly as possible," said Jon-Paul McGonigle, the city's director of recreation and sport in a news release. City officials will contact anyone who is registered for programs at the Byron location to find alternatives or arrange a refund. The city will continue to provide information about when the pool will reopen, it said in the release. All other outdoor and wading pools operated by the city will be open seven days a week throughout the summer, starting on Saturday. Information on current programs, hours and schedules can be found online.
