PSL transfer news: Orlando Pirates set to earn over R150m
Orlando Pirates could potentially earn R150 million from the sales of Mohau Nkota and Relebohile Mofokeng. Both players were instrumental in the Buccaneers' run to the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League. Nkota recently made a high-profile move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq. He is expected to sign a three-year deal that will reportedly see him earn over R12 million annually. Unconfirmed reports indicate that the transfer fee for Nkota is around £1.5 million (R36 million), with additional add-ons that could elevate the total to £2.15 million (R52 million) if certain performance targets are met. Meanwhile, Mofokeng could leave Orlando Pirates for a substantial R120 million, with Dutch giants PSV showing interest in signing the talented young winger in the coming days. 'R100 million is like a round figure. It's more than that! The amount they were negotiating for was initially R120 million. You know it's not exactly what you want that you get, and that's why they are talking about the R100 million, but it's believed to be more than that,' the insider told Soccer Laduma . Should Orlando Pirates successfully sell Mofokeng to PSV, they could very well exceed R150 million in earnings during this transfer period. Both players came up through the club's development system and competed in the DSTV Diski Challenge just three years ago. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211. Raja Interested in Nigerian Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali
Raja Casablanca are reportedly considering a move for Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali ahead of next season. South African outlet Unplayable reported that the Moroccan giants are keen on signing the 29-year-old, who currently plays for Chippa United in the South African Premier Division. Nwabali, who impressed during Nigeria's run to the final at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire, made 26 appearances for Chippa United last season and currently holds the club's captaincy. According to reports, Chippa are open to letting Nwabali leave if a credible offer is submitted. The player is currently valued at €650,000 on Transfermarkt. Raja Casablanca, three-time CAF Champions League winners, are looking to rebuild after a disappointing campaign in the Botola Pro League. A move to the Moroccan club would mark a significant step in Nwabali's career. The Raja CA is reportedly planning to rebuild their team, following a disappointing trophyless season. The Moroccan international adds experience and depth to the backline. The arrivals are aimed at reinforcing the defence, particularly following the departures of Hatim Es-Saoubi, Larbi Naji, Hicham Boussefiane, El Hassan Hobeib, Henock Inonga, Et-Tayab Boukheriss and Akram Nakkach. However, fan reaction has been mixed. On the club's official Facebook page, one user wrote: 'The team needs a striker, a defensive midfielder, and a high-calibre winger.' Another commented: 'Honestly, all these signings are irrelevant — they won't benefit the team in any way.' Criticism was also directed at the goalkeeper signing. One supporter said: 'So now you're bringing us a goalkeeper just to scare the opponents? It's shameful to bring a keeper who was playing in Tetouan and Fes, struggled there, and now you bring him here without proper consideration – this is unacceptable!' AS FAR are now set to begin preparations for the upcoming Botola season and the CAF competitions, with hopes of returning to title contention.

Orlando Pirates star duo set for season-long loan deals
Orlando Pirates have cleared the path for midfielders Goodman Mosele and Azola Tshobeni to join Chippa United on season-long loans for the 2025/2026 Betway Premiership. The duo underwent medicals on Monday after arriving in Gqeberha, confirming their next step in pursuit of regular game time. Both players struggled to secure regular spots under head coach Jose Riveiro last season, as Pirates finished runners-up and made it to the CAF Champions League final. Riveiro opted to rely heavily on Makhehlene Makhaula, Thalente Mbatha, Patrick Maswanganyi, and Kabelo Dlamini in the heart of midfield. Mosele, who joined the Buccaneers from Baroka FC in 2021, failed to nail down a place in the starting XI. After being loaned out to Chippa United during the 2023/2024 campaign, he featured in 25 matches, scored once, and rediscovered his confidence. 'Mosele's impressive form saw him return to his parent club,' but despite this, he only made seven appearances last season, again scoring once. Meanwhile, Tshobeni has battled to make an impact at Pirates since rising through the club's development system in 2020. The left-footed playmaker spent three seasons on loan at JDR Stars, where he established himself as a consistent performer in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. 'He had a limited contribution on the pitch' after returning to Pirates, despite his growth during the loan spell. With head coach Sinethemba Badela focused on building a more competitive squad for the 2025/2026 season. Chippa United have moved swiftly to reinforce their midfield options. Mosele and Tshobeni will aim to bring stability, energy, and creativity to the Eastern Cape outfit. By securing this double loan deal, Chippa United offer both players a fresh chance to revive their top-flight careers and showcase their talent on a regular basis. Will the Orlando Pirates pair make an impact at Chippa United? Let us know by leaving a comment below or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1.
