Maxis, Aduna Partner To Advance Network API Adoption For Businesses

Maxis has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aduna to accelerate the adoption of standardised network APIs, aimed at driving digital innovation and enhancing security for businesses. The agreement, formalised during the GSMA Digital Nation Summit in Singapore, will provide businesses and developers in Malaysia with access to Aduna's global platform of common network APIs. Initial offerings will focus on high-impact APIs such as Number Verification, SIM Swap, KYC Match and Location Verification, key enablers in combating digital fraud and securing online transactions. These capabilities are expected to benefit sectors including financial services and e-commerce. According to Maxis, the collaboration will enable faster, more secure development of API-driven solutions and reduce time-to-market for new services. Network APIs allow applications to interact automatically across multiple mobile networks, facilitating seamless integration and swift deployment. 'This partnership with Aduna will enable the development of more secure, user-centric services backed by seamless access to advanced network APIs,' said Prateek Pashine, Chief Enterprise Business Officer of Maxis. Aduna Chief Executive Officer Anthony Bartolo said the partnership will bring unified network APIs to Malaysia, calling it 'one of Southeast Asia's most dynamic digital economies'. The initiative aligns with global open standards such as the GSMA Open Gateway framework and CAMARA Project, and builds on Maxis' previous involvement in the Bridge Alliance API Exchange (BAEx), which aggregates telco APIs across Asia Pacific to accelerate adoption.
