My new ‘caravan toy' is great if you're holidaying in one this summer – it's light, easy to pack & feeds the kids quick

A CARAVAN mum has revealed her new go-to gadget that's perfect for feeding kids in a hurry and light enough for you to pack this summer. If you're a parent who's ever returned from a long beach day with hungry kids in tow, you'll know that dinner prep can feel like a race against the clock. 3 Caravan mum Amy, known to her TikTok followers as @amylissx, has found a nifty little gadget that's transformed how she feeds her brood on the road. Amy and her family have been documenting their caravan trips around the UK, with their latest adventure taking them to sunny Cornwall. But in between sandy beaches and family fun, she revealed her latest gadget and it's already a hit with her followers. 'I've got a new caravan toy,' she grinned in her TikTok video. 'Just adding to my Ninja collection. I've got the Ninja Crispi glass portable air you just need a quick and easy chicken nugget. Smiley faces will do." The Ninja Crispi is far from your average bulky air fryer. It's lightweight, compact, and designed for small kitchens, caravans and campervans and is perfect if you want big cooking power without the chunky footprint. It even looks the part, with three stylish colour choices like blue, stone and sage green, so you can coordinate with your holiday home's interior. How does it work? Launched in the UK in March 2025, the CRISPi works by housing the cooking mechanism inside a neat 'PowerPod' lid, which clicks onto one of two glass dishes. Once you're done, you can serve straight from the dish or pop it straight into the fridge, no extra washing up required. Watch the video to see inside the family-of-seven's caravan home Like all air fryers, it promises to whip up meals faster than a conventional oven, with that all-important crispy finish but without drowning food in oil. And for parents like Amy, it means she can feed three kids in minutes without sacrificing space in the caravan or lugging around heavy equipment. The Ninja Crispi is currently on sale on Ninja Kitchen UK for £149, down from £180. So if you've been thinking about making the splurge, now's the perfect time. If you fancy something similar but cheaper, Argos has the Cookworks Halogen 15L Air Fryer for £40, while Lakeland's Dual Basket Air Fryer (currently £89.99) offers double the cooking capacity. Ninja themselves also have the Double Stack 2-Drawer Air Fryer on sale for £199.99, for those who want to cook two meals at once without taking up all the counter space. For Amy, though, the Crispi has earned pride of place in her caravan kitchen. 'She's stunning, she's lightweight, and she feeds the kids fast,' she laughed. How to save money on your food shop Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save hundreds of pounds a year: Odd boxes - plenty of retailers offer slightly misshapen fruit and veg or surplus food at a discounted price. Lidl sells five kilos of fruit and veg for just £1.50 through its Waste Not scheme while Aldi shoppers can get Too Good to Go bags which contain £10 worth of all kinds of products for £3.30. Sainsbury's also sells £2 "Taste Me, Don't Waste Me" fruit and veg boxes to help shoppers reduced food waste and save cash. Food waste apps - food waste apps work by helping shops, cafes, restaurants and other businesses shift stock that is due to go out of date and passing it on to members of the public. Some of the most notable ones include Too Good to Go and Olio. Too Good to Go's app is free to sign up to and is used by millions of people across the UK, letting users buy food at a discount. Olio works similarly, except users can collect both food and other household items for free from neighbours and businesses. Yellow sticker bargains - yellow sticker bargains, sometimes orange and red in certain supermarkets, are a great way of getting food on the cheap. But what time to head out to get the best deals varies depending on the retailer. You can see the best times for each supermarket here. Super cheap bargains - sign up to bargain hunter Facebook groups like Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK where shoppers regularly post hauls they've found on the cheap, including food finds. "Downshift" - you will almost always save money going for a supermarket's own-brand economy lines rather than premium brands. The move to lower-tier ranges, also known as "downshifting" and hailed by consumer expert Martin Lewis, could save you hundreds of pounds a year on your food shop.

Paul-Gordon Chandler Announces 'CARAVAN 3.0": An Enhanced Mission of Building Bridges of Peace through the Arts

Paul G. Chandler, Founder and President of CARAVAN, an international arts non-profit/NGO, announced the launch of 'CARAVAN 3.0,' a strategic enhancement of its mission to build bridges of understanding and foster peace through the transformative power of art. This announcement follows Chandler's recent travels to Jordan, Egypt, and Lebanon, where he witnessed firsthand the vital role of art in healing and reconciliation in conflict-affected regions. 'In a time of increasing division and polarization, the arts serve as a powerful and essential tool for fostering understanding and harmony,' stated Paul G. Chandler. 'My recent journey to the Middle East reinforced the profound impact art has on building bridges between diverse cultures, ethnicities, and spiritual traditions. We are now entering a new chapter, 'CARAVAN 3.0,' to strategically enhance our efforts and address the pressing need for creative bridge-building.' Chandler emphasized the relevance of the ancient Middle Eastern tribe who 'understood the times in order to know what to do,' highlighting the urgency of addressing today's challenges with innovative solutions. He cited the late Nobel Prize Egyptian novelist Naguib Mahfouz, stating, 'Art is the language of the entire human personality,' underscoring art's ability to transcend borders and transform lives and communities. CARAVAN's evolution has been marked by distinct phases: CARAVAN 1.0 (2009-2013): A grassroots bridge-building arts initiative originating in Cairo, Egypt. CARAVAN 2.0 (2014-Present): Incorporation and global expansion as a US-registered international arts non-profit/NGO. CARAVAN 3.0: A strategic enhancement to more effectively employ the arts in the current era to create lasting change in the pursuit of harmony in our world. The CARAVAN Board of Directors, recognizing the escalating need for dialogue and understanding, has strategically refined the organization's mission to maximize the impact of art in building bridges across diverse communities. This enhanced mission direction entails exhibitions, tours and other creative engagement with the arts. 'We are committed to leveraging the transcendent and transformative power of art to address the challenges of our time,' Chandler concluded. 'Your partnership and support are more critical than ever as we embark on this new chapter of CARAVAN's journey.' CARAVAN, founded and led by Paul G. Chandler, is an international arts non-profit/NGO that utilizes the arts to build bridges of peace between diverse cultures, peoples, and spiritual traditions. Through innovative artistic initiatives, CARAVAN seeks to promote dialogue, respect, and harmony in a divided world. CARAVAN's artistic initiatives have resulted in unprecedented partnerships with renowned and emerging artists from all over the globe, using art to transform our world. For more information, see:
