New Delhi [India], May 13 (ANI): Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday said that the CBSE Board examinations are being conducted in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, focusing on competency-based assessment. In a post on X, Pradhan stated that the exams emphasize leveraging technology to improve accessibility and ease for students. He added that CBSE results are being made available digitally through multiple platforms including the official CBSE website, DigiLocker, and the UMANG app, apart from being accessible at schools. 'CBSE Board exams are conducted in alignment with NEP 2020, with emphasis on competency-based assessment leveraging technology for accessibility and ease,' Pradhan said in his post. The move is part of the government's efforts to integrate digital technology into the education system and ensure seamless access to academic services for students across the country. The Minister also praised the students for their achievement, 'Heartiest congratulations to all my young friends and their parents, who have successfully cleared the CBSE Class XII and Class X examinations. This is a moment to rejoice and cherish the fruits of hard work, dedication and perseverance. Wishing all the next-gen leaders a happy, healthy and bright future ahead.' The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the results of the Class 10th and 12th examinations on Tuesday. In the class 10th examination results a total of 93.66 % of students passed the examination, which was 0.06 % more than the previous year.95 % of girls passed the CBSE class 10th examination, which was 2.37 % more than the boys. Thiruvananthapuram achieved the highest passing percentage on the region basis, with 99.70 % of students passing the examination, whereas Assam's Guwahati was ranked at the bottom, with 84.14 % of students passing the examination. The CBSE class 10th examination was conducted between February 15 to March 18. Earlier, CBSE released the results of class 12th in which 88.39 per cent of students passed the examinations, which was 0.41 % more than the previous year. 91 % of girls have passed the CBSE class 12th examinations this year, 5.94 %more than the boys. Prayagraj: In the Class 12 CBSE Board results announced on Tuesday, Prayagraj region ranked lowest among the 17 regions nationally, with a pass percentage of 79.53% against the national average of 88.39%. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The region oversees CBSE-affiliated schools across 49 the region showed a minor improvement from 78.25% in 2024, it remained at the bottom of national Class 10, Prayagraj region secured the 15th position nationally with 91.01% pass rate, while the national pass percentage stood at 93.66%. The region comprises 1,827 schools with 505 examination centres spread in 49 districts of the state. Of 188,200 registered Class 12 students, 186,164 appeared for examinations (110,027 boys and 76,137 girls). Girls outperformed boys with 84.96% passing rate compared to 75.78% for boys, showing improvement from 2024's figures of 84.30% and 74.23% district-wise performance, Balrampur led with 91.24% pass rate, followed by Lucknow at 90% and Auraiya at 89.19%. Unnao secured fourth position with 89.14% while Fatehpur ranked fifth at 88.75%. Prayagraj achieved 81.50% with 9,619 students passing out of 11, Vidyalaya Sangathan, Varanasi Region demonstrated exceptional results with 2,573 students passing out of 2,579 examinees, achieving 99.77% success rate. This represented a 0.46% improvement from the previous year. Twenty-five out of 31 KVs achieved 100% pass five students were placed in the supplementary category, and just one was placed in essential repeat (fail)."It is the efforts of the principals and staff members of the KVs under our region and also the hard work of the students who have made us proud," said deputy commissioner, KVS Varanasi Region, AK Mishra. The efforts of the two assistant commissioners of the regional office, Shalini Dikshit and DC Meena, were equally applaudable, he added.
