From the main road, you have to go inside, it's an isolated area. The gunny bag with the body was thrown into the drain,' he said. He added that the victim appeared to be a male, likely a Hindu, aged between 35 and 40. The SP further said, 'Though we received information about it this morning, the death seems to have occurred at least a week ago. 'Since it was dumped next to a large drain, people could not smell it easily. Also, the road leading to the spot is rarely used. One would have to step into the drain and cross it to reach the location. So, it seems like a well-planned move to dispose of the body in a secluded place,' he further stated that there is no CCTV at the location of the drain itself, but the police are reviewing footage from surrounding areas in an attempt to trace movements related to the incident follows a similar case in Bengaluru, where the body of a woman was found dumped in a garbage truck on June 29.
