The Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 will bow out with this ‘Final Edition'
First Look But sadly, this 410bhp baby brute won't do its bowing out in the UK… Skip 8 photos in the image carousel and continue reading Mercedes-AMG is waving goodbye to its current-gen CLA 45 S with a 'Final Edition' encore, which gains various exterior and interior modifications for a bit more sugar and spice. It won't be coming to Britain, however. C'mon, Merc. Anyway, the package will be available for both the coupe and shooting brake body styles in the US of A, and includes 19in forged alloys, a large vinyl along the flanks and some neat little yellow accents. The exterior can then be sprayed in two finishes: 'Mountain Grey Magno' or 'Night Black Uni'. Pretty sure we had some of the latter while at university, too. The cabin gets even more yellow, with stitching along the leather and microfibre seats, the Nappa steering wheel, door panels and instrument cluster. It actually works pretty well with the red ambient lighting. You might like Otherwise, the Final Edition will be familiarly CLA: a pair of 10.25in screens gelled together, many 'buttons' on the steering wheel and those fancy air vents. We're still not bored of those. The 2.0-litre turbocharged four-pot still sends 410bhp and 369lb ft of torque through an eight-speed DCT 'box. That allows for a 0-62mph sprint in 4.1s, on the way to a top speed of 168mph. The 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive can also split its torque, sending extra power to the rear axle for more dramatic sideways action. That's when the current CLA is discontinued outright, and production of the new generation ramps up. Thank you for subscribing to our newsletter. The New Mercedes-AMG Might Be the Last Gas-Powered CLA Ever
Mercedes-Benz is making sure the AMG CLA gets a proper sendoff. The German will bid 'auf wiedersehen' to the CLA 45 S with a 'Final Edition' variant early next year. The last version of the second-generation sedan gets a special appearance package and will only be available in limited numbers. More from Robb Report This $8 Million Carmel Home Has Hit the Market for the First Time in Nearly 50 Years Here's How Bugatti Tests Its Hypercars Before Their Final Delivery This $40 Million Bel Air Mansion Is Crowned With a Rooftop Pickleball Court The CLA, which launched in 2013, is set to go through some major changes this fall. That's when the model's third generation will finally go on sale as part of the company's 2026 model year lineup. Not only has the car received a full makeover, but it's also the first of the company's cars built on the new Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) platform. Thanks to this, the vehicle will launch with an all-electric powertrain, though a hybrid unit is expected to be available later on. The last of the purely gas-powered CLAs will also launch as part of the 2026 lineup. The AMG CLA 45 S Final Edition comes clad in the sub-brand's Aerodynamics Package Plus body kit and is available in one color and one color only: Mountain Grey Magno. The matte hue, which is a perfect match for the AMG Night package, is broken up by yellow accents on the side-view mirrors and a black and yellow '45 S Final Edition' graphic on the front set of doors. Rounding out the exterior details is a set of 19-inch matte black wheels with a yellow accent around the center hub. The striking color scheme carries over to the variant's interior. The seats are covered with black microsuede and MB-Tex synthetic leather with yellow contrast details. Accents of the same color appear throughout the cabin, including on the illuminated door sills. The center console and door mats also feature the same '45 S Final Edition' found on the front doors. The variant's powertrain has been left untouched, but few AMG CLA fans will take issue with that. The model may only be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot and eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, but the setup is capable of producing a more than respectable 421 hp and 369 ft lbs of torque. Mercedes says the car can hit 60 mph in four seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph. Deliveries of the AMG CLA 45 S Final Edition are expected to begin early next year. Mercedes has yet to say how many examples will be available or how much the exclusive model will cost, but something north of the standard CLA 45 S's $67,050 starting price seems of Robb Report The 2024 Chevy C8 Corvette: Everything We Know About the Powerful Mid-Engine Beast The World's Best Superyacht Shipyards The ABCs of Chartering a Yacht Click here to read the full article.

2026 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S Final Edition Signals the End of the Line
The 2026 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S Final Edition will be available in the United States in limited numbers. The 2026 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S currently starts at $68,200, without the Final Edition package. This high-output sedan will arrive at dealerships early in 2026. Mercedes-Benz announced earlier this year that the brand will launch a next-generation CLA-Class sedan for 2026 with a battery-electric powertrain. Sending off the second-gen CLA-Class, Mercedes-AMG is rolling out a limited-production CLA 45 S Final Edition. It will come finished exclusively in mountain grey magno, sport black and yellow graphics, and ride on a set of 19-inch AMG wheels. Powering the CLA 45 S Final Edition is the same 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that feeds every other current-generation CLA 45 S. That means this sedan shoves 416 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and into a 4Matic all-wheel-drive system. Mercedes-AMG says this CLA 45 S is electronically limited at 155 mph but can sprint to 60 mph from a standing start in just four seconds flat. Separating this Final Edition from the rest of the pack is that it's only available in the mountain grey magno finish. Joining this matte grey paint job is a set of not-so-subtle black and yellow graphics on the doors and mirror caps. The black and yellow motif also extends to the cabin, which sports AMG Performance seats that are finished in black MB-Tex and microfiber. That black fabric is offset by no shortage of yellow accents and logos, and yellow stitching also finds its way to the AMG Performance wheel that accents the leather and microfiber covering. Mercedes hasn't mentioned pricing for the upcoming CLA 45 S Final Edition, but the company did say it will start showing up at dealers early in 2026. Considering that the standard CLA 45 S starts at $68,200, this limited-production send-off will probably start somewhere in the $70,000 range. Do you think this is a fitting farewell to the second-gen CLA-Class? Tell us your thoughts below.

2026 Mercedes-AMG CLA45 S Final Edition revealed
2026 Mercedes-AMG CLA45 S Final Edition revealed originally appeared on Autoblog. A redesigned Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class is on the way, but for now the high-performance AMG variants are taking a break. The 2026 Mercedes-AMG CLA45 S Final Edition sends them off in style. Boasting unique design features, it's scheduled to reach U.S. dealerships in the 2026 calendar year in "limited numbers," according to a Mercedes press release. View the 2 images of this gallery on the original article The Final Edition will be available exclusively in Manufaktur Mountain Grey Magno, with yellow-and-black "45 S" graphics on the doors. That color palette is popular with AMG; it's also used on the AMG CLE Manufaktur Edition and goes back to the AMG C63 Edition 1 from about a decade ago. The same theme continues inside, where the heavily-bolstered wear black MB-Tex artificial leather and microfiber upholstery with yellow stitching and "45 S" branding on the headrests. More yellow stitching can be found on the door panels and dashboard, as well as on the AMG steering wheel and floor mats. View the 3 images of this gallery on the original article Other changes include 19-inch forged wheels in matte black with yellow accents and gloss-black brake calipers with white AMG lettering. Final Editions also get the AMG Night Plus Package, with darkened exterior trim, and the AMG Aerodynamics Package Plus. This adds a larger front splitter, flics, and a fixed rear spoiler. Unchanged, however, is the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which makes 416 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Claimed to be the most powerful series-production four-cylinder engine in the world when the current-generation CLA45 debuted (it's since been eclipsed by an uprated version in the AMG C63 and GLC63 plug-in hybrids), it gets this compact four-door from zero to 60 mph in a Mercedes-estimated 4.0 seconds and on to an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph. Hand-assembled like other true AMG engines, the turbo-four is connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and AMG-specific all-wheel drive system that includes a drift mode. The "45" models brought raucous AMG performance to Mercedes' compact cars, but now the automaker is going in a different direction. The latest CLA-Class emphasizes efficiency with all-electric and hybrid powertrains, and tech with new software that Mercedes hopes will be able to juggle the dozens of connected features available from various third-party apps elbowing their way onto car dashboards. That still leaves room for future AMG models, and the Mercedes performance division is hedging its bets with continued combustion-engine development. But given the current emphasis on electrified powertrains, it's possible the next AMG CLA will be a hybrid or EV instead of the pure combustion model that's about to exit the market. 2026 Mercedes-AMG CLA45 S Final Edition revealed first appeared on Autoblog on Jul 2, 2025 This story was originally reported by Autoblog on Jul 2, 2025, where it first appeared.
