Taking a look back at the Boston Celtics in the NBA's 2025 Las Vegas Summer League

Taking a look back at the Boston Celtics in the NBA's 2025 Las Vegas Summer League, did we learn anything important about the future of the team's incoming rookies Hugo Gonzalez, Amari Williams, and Max Shulga? And what about the younger players on the Celtics' roster already, like Jordan Walsh and Baylor Scheierman? Were there any unsigned players that would make sense for Boston to sign to a two way deal or a regular roster spot? And speaking of two way players, did forward Miles Norris do enough to secure a spot with the Celtics in a two way role for the coming 2025-26 regular season? The host of the CLNS Media "You Got Boston" podcast, Noa Dalzell, took some time on a recent episode of her show to talk it over. Check it out below! Why Charles Bassey did not play with the Boston Celtics in the last game of summer league

If you are wondering why unsigned big man Charles Bassey did not play with the Boston Celtics in their last game of the NBA's 2025 Las Vegas Summer League, we now know why. The Sin City Celtics found themselves without their best overall player in summer league action due to the free agent center having commitments elsewhere this summer. To get the lowdown on why Bassey did not suit up for the Summer Celtics in their penultimate tilt of the annual Nevada summer exhibition series (and their last of the Las Vegas Summer League regular season, if you can call it that), check out what the cohosts of the CLNS Media "Garden Report" podcast, Bobby Manning, Noa Dalzell and A. Sherrod Blakely, had to say in a recent pod with cohost of "The Big Three NBA" podcast, Gary Washburn. The four took some time to talk about Bassey's future, why it won't be with Boston in Vegas, and more. Former Boston Celtics floor general Marcus Smart just signed with the Los Angeles Lakers

Former Boston Celtics floor general Marcus Smart just signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, upsetting more than a few fans of his former ball club. To be fair to the Flower Mound, Texas native, it was never Smart's fault that he stopped playing for the Celtics, with Boston having elected to blow up their ties by shipping him off to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of the three-team trade that brought star big man Kristaps Porzingis to the Celtics in 2023. But even taking this into account, the move sits poorly with some Boston fans, simply due to the intense rivalry between the two ball clubs and the razor-thin margin the Celtics now hold over the Lakers in total titles won. The hosts of the CLNS Media "How Bout Them Celtics!" podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, took some time on a recent episode of their show to talk it over. Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about how they are feeling about Smart suiting up for Los Angeles. Cedric Maxwell expects a bad Boston Celtics season ahead

Former champion Boston Celtics forward and current Boston broadcaster Cedric Maxwell has seen the Celtics at their best and worst, both as a player and as a member of the media. So we ought to take him seriously when he is bracing for what he thinks will be a particularly bad season for the Celtics in their coming 2025-26 campaign. After Boston elected to trade away veterans Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday while letting critical backup big man Luke Kornet walk in free agency to the San Antonio Spurs, it became pretty clear in a hurry that a soft tank for the team was in the cards. When they signed former Minnesota Timberwolves depth players Luka Garza and Josh Minott to help backfill the minutes Kornet, Holiday, and Porzingis will leave behind, it all but confirmed that this was the plan. The hosts of the CLNS Media "Cedric Maxwell" podcast, the eponymous Cedric Maxwell and his co-host John Zannis, took some time on an episode of their show to talk it over. Check it out below!
