Maharashtra CM relief fund committee expanded to 14 members
Mumbai: The CM's Relief Fund, which provides financial aid in times of natural disasters and accidents, will now be overseen by a 14-member committee. The committee has been expanded to include two new members: a medical/social sector expert and the head of the CM Relief Fund as member-general secretary.
The committee is headed by the CM, and the other members include both the Dy CMs, as well as representatives from the Relief and Rehabilitation, Revenue, Law and Judiciary departments, and senior bureaucrats.
From January until June 30, 14,651 patients received medical assistance worth Rs 129 crore under the CM Relief Fund, said an official.
