GRS to meet soon on state election: CM

He added that GRS had not made any decisions and its Supreme Council would meet soon to discuss seat allocation, coalition partners, and overall strategy for the election. Advertisement Earlier, Hajiji presented 200 sacrificial cows in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha at the Bajau Samah Cultural Centre in Kampung Lok Batik. The recipients included representatives of mosques and suraus here, NGOs, and state and district agencies. CM urges district councillors to play active, transparent role

He said councillors must not only represent the people's voice but also act as effective agents in executing government initiatives, especially the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) Development Plan. He urged councillors to be proactive, well-informed, and fully aware of their roles and responsibilities in serving the public. Hajiji made the remarks during the swearing-in and appointment letter presentation ceremony for Tuaran District Councillors for the 2025–2027 term. GRS yet to finalise partners for state election: Hajiji

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, also GRS chairman, said internal discussions among coalition members are still ongoing before talks with other parties. He added that GRS, as the current state government, will decide its future electoral partners once internal consensus is reached. Speaking after launching the Gagasan Rakyat Information Machinery in Tuaran, Hajiji confirmed that GRS election machinery in each state constituency is already in place and ready. Gagasan Rakyat machinery urged to fight opposition lies ahead of election

He said the information teams must also master the digital space and social media while strengthening public support for Gagasan Rakyat and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS). Hajiji stressed the need for a fast and efficient information network to counter opposition narratives and promote government aid initiatives and achievements. He reminded party members that this year is an election year and called on the information machinery to intensify efforts to explain government policies and successes to the people.
