Vizag MP exhorts people to practice yoga for a healthier life
Visakhapatnam: Despite is hectic schedule, Prime Minister Narendra Modi practices yoga at least for two hours a day and people should draw inspiration from the PM to adopt yoga and make it a consistent part of life, emphasised Visakhapatnam MP M Sribharat.
Addressing the gathering at the yoga session organised as part of 'Yogandhra' campaign by Aum Free Yoga Centre at Gadiraju Palace in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, the MP highlighted that regular yoga practice is the secret behind the Prime Minister's health and fitness. 'If the ancient practice is incorporated into the daily regimen, people can lead a healthier life,' underlined Sribharat.
Impressing viewers, a 45-minute-long demonstration session was organised on the occasion. Lauding the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for promoting yoga at global level, Visakhapatnam north constituency MLA P Vishnu Kumar Raju stated that he is also a member of Aum Free Yoga Centre.
Recommending yoga for daily practice, founder of the centre Chilaka Venkata Ramesh highlighted the benefits of the ancient regimen and how its consistent practice helps in becoming a calmer and better version of oneself.
Demonstrating a number of asanas, a presentation was made at the palace. From a seven-year-old to 74-year-old persons, about 800 people took part in the programme held on Saturday.
Later, the centre's new logo and a website were launched in the presence of Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat, CMR Group founder and chairman Mavuri Venkata Ramana, former BJP Visakhapatnam parliament district president Medapati Raveendra, and yoga centre president K Santaram, among others.
