Francisco Lindor's Public Appearance With Shakira is Turning Heads
When you're in New York City, there's no shortage of things to do. For Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor, finding entertainment in the Big Apple has never been an issue. The latest buzz? A night out featuring none other than Shakira, who was in town for her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. She performed Thursday night at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, home to both the New York Giants and Jets. Advertisement With a rare night off, Lindor attended the concert with his family. After the show, he and Shakira shared a brief meet-and-greet that has social media reacting. Major League Baseball shared a photo of the encounter on Friday, and fans immediately started weighing in with a mix of emotions. "Are they going to be together forever now?" questioned this fan. "He's going to end up pregnant." this fan joked. A joking fan said this: "Her hips now lie." Another fan poses a valid question: "Francisco Lindor and Shakira linking up?" "SHAKIRAAA (mixed feelings rn)." a big fan of the singer said. "STOP MY COLOMBIAN QUEEN DONT DO IT." was said here. The couple has been married for three years. Earlier Friday, Katia joked that instead of attending a Shakira concert, they were at a 'Kalina concert.' Advertisement Kalina, their eldest daughter, is known for her love of music and often puts on her own performances at home. Lindor joined the Mets in 2021 and has since established himself as one of the game's elite shortstops. He's a four-time MLB All-Star, has earned two Gold Gloves and is a four-time Silver Slugger winner, including in 2024. So far this season, Lindor is batting .297 with nine home runs and 26 RBIs. His hot start is helping the Mets hold onto first place in the NL East. This weekend marks the first part of the Subway Series, with the Yankees hosting a three-game set against the Mets. The 28-16 Mets and 25-18 Yankees both sit atop their respective divisions, making this New York showdown one of the most anticipated weekends of the early season. Her hacked up corpse was discovered by a local who spotted her on Los Enanos Beach in San Andrés on April 27. Police believe the person who killed her had first stabbed her in the neck before trying to dismember her body. They also suspect she was unconscious and bleeding to death while the attacker chopped at her legs. According to local eyewitness reports, the arrested suspect is the owner of the popular Arenales Bar Cafeteria. The investigation is still ongoing, and police have not ruled out further arrests. Part of Arias' neck was also hacked off. Cops think this was an attempt to dispose of her body in a container or bags before the corpse was left on a San Andres beach. The bar where the owner was arrested has now been sealed off with police tape and an armed guard. After her body was found by a passer-by, the Armed Forces' Homicide Unit was deployed to the search for her killer. The bar owner was arrested at his home in Las Torres on May 6, and is due to appear in court either on Wednesday or Thursday.
