A COLOMBIAN woman whose body was found dismembered on a Gran Canaria beach has been identified as 41-year-old Triana Arias.
It comes after local police arrested the owner of a popular bar in Las Palmas for his alleged connection to the horrific murder.

Tragic Arias had previously texted a mate to say that she was going to a party - but she was not seen alive after that.
Her hacked up corpse was discovered by a local who spotted her on Los Enanos Beach in San Andrés on April 27.
Police believe the person who killed her had first stabbed her in the neck before trying to dismember her body.
They also suspect she was unconscious and bleeding to death while the attacker chopped at her legs.
According to local eyewitness reports, the arrested suspect is the owner of the popular Arenales Bar Cafeteria.
The investigation is still ongoing, and police have not ruled out further arrests.
Part of Arias' neck was also hacked off.
Cops think this was an attempt to dispose of her body in a container or bags before the corpse was left on a San Andres beach.

After her body was found by a passer-by, the Armed Forces' Homicide Unit was deployed to the search for her killer.
The bar owner was arrested at his home in Las Torres on May 6, and is due to appear in court either on Wednesday or Thursday.

A search has been conducted at both his house and business premises.
Several officers in balaclavas took away a number of sealed plastic bags as they collected potential evidence.
It is not the only tragedy to have struck the Canary Islands in recent days.
A man in his late 40s plunged 100 feet to his death while trying to take a selfie from a hotel rooftop on the islands.
He is reported to have fallen to the promenade while trying to take the snapshot in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident, but he was pronounced dead upon their arrival.

The breakthrough weapon can hit targets sitting more than 3,000km away with a menacing 1,000kg warhead - and its design takes inspiration from a British bomb. The cruise missile, which is reportedly already in serial production, fires from a twin-axle ramp before propelling itself with a turbofan. The "Flamingo" has a six-metre wingspan and reaches speeds of up to 900km/h before decimating its targets. And its maximum flight time is a whopping four hours. Engineers designed the bomb to feature three main priorities: range, warhead mass and rapid deployment. Its developer, Fire Point, said the systems are being manufactured at a highly protected facility in the Carpathians, in the west of Ukraine. The breath-taking design also features a dorsal air intake for a jet engine and an X-tail. To make sure the missile hits its target, it is also equipped with resistance to electronic warfare. The "Flamingo" is reportedly closely modelled on the FP-5 missile design - an unmanned cruise missile which can hit targets at subsonic speeds. The FP-5 is made by British weapons firm Milanion, a UAE-headquartered defence contractor which has supplied Ukraine in the past. The US President phoned Vladimir Putin during the summit to push him to meet with Zelensky face-to-face. Evan Forde, 32, was driving his Mercedes in Brent Cross, north London, when he crashed into another vehicle at high speed. This resulted in Nascimento's tragic death, despite the London Ambulance Service rushing to the scene and desperately trying to save the girl. Shortly before the fatal crash, police officers on patrol in a marked vehicle had indicated for his car to stop. However, the vehicle drove off from police and there was no pursuit, according to Scotland Yard. Moments later, cops were informed that the same car had been involved in a collision. The occupants of the Mercedes did not stop for the police as they proceeded to flee the scene on foot. Members of the victim's family wept in court after he admitted the offence. Defence barrister Tasmin Malcolm said Forde had "always accepted" he was driving the Mercedes. She said: 'Undoubtedly the speed Mr Forde was driving will be an aggravating feature to the court. 'It is important we are satisfied of the accuracy of the material relied on by the Crown.' Prosecutor Frederick Hookway observed that small variations of the speeds involved in the case were unlikely to have an impact given the defendant had reached 'top speeds of over 140mph'. Judge Anthony Leonard KC adjourned sentencing until October 22 and granted Forde continued conditional bail. He told him: "You have pleaded guilty to a very serious charge. "There was perhaps no option other than to do so given the state of the evidence. "However, the fact you pleaded at this stage will be taken into account at sentencing. "You must understand the most likely result - if not the inevitable result - will be you sent to prison." Previously the Metropolitan Police said it had made a referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct as is routine in such circumstances.
