Seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro from Yucaipa in San Bernadino County was allegedly snatched from his mother's truck as she was changing his diaper before going into a sporting goods store.
Rebecca Haro told investigators that she had been hit from behind and knocked unconscious before quickly coming to and realizing her youngest son was missing.
A frantic search for the baby was sparked with helicopters and K9 units also in attendance at the scene at a Big 5 parking lot just before 8pm on Thursday.
With no sign of Emmanuel, the San Bernadino County Sheriff's Office issued a bleak update on Saturday stating: "The search for baby Emmanuel Haro continues; investigators cannot rule out foul play."
