Man charged in alleged string of vehicle thefts in Waterbury
WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A Man was arrested in connection with a string of vehicle thefts in Waterbury, police said.
According to authorities, a recent uptick in auto thefts – mainly older Honda Civics, tires, and rims, from newer Honda Accords – prompted an investigation.

The suspect, Kyle Hernandez, 21, of Waterbury, was arrested and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, two counts of larceny in the third degree, and illegal operation of a chop shop.
Hernandez is in the custody of the CT Department of Corrections and is being held on a $250,000 bond.
