The National Testing Agency, NTA, has released the admit cards for re-examination of Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (CUET-UG) 2025 Accountancy paper. Candidates can now download their hall tickets from the official website at The NTA said in an official notice, 'The re-test for the subject Accountancy/Book Keeping from 02nd to 04th June 2025 for the candidates who appeared in the test conducted during 13th to 16th May 2025 and have submitted their consent 'ONLINE' to re-appear.' Besides, the NTA will also conduct the examination for Tamil and Urdu on June 4, 2025, which were earlier scheduled on May, 22, 2025 (shift-2). Students had reported that the paper during the initial days included questions beyond the prescribed syllabus. CUET-UG aspirants face glitches, server errors, delays on exam day
Common University Entrance Test-Undergraduate (CUET UG) centres across the country on Monday saw aspirants and parents lined up outside the gates as the exam faced delays of up to an hour due to technical glitches and server errors. The first shift of CUET-UG was scheduled to begin at 9am. Ahead of the exam, centres put up notices announcing the delay, leading to delayed entry of students inside the centres. 'Due to some technical glitches there will be an undefined delay in entry. Once the issue is resolved, all candidates will be permitted to enter. It's a pan-India issue. Your cooperation is highly essential,' the notices said. Rana Pratap Singh, parent of a CUET aspirant, said that a large crowd of restless parents and students gathered at the Pataliputra centre in Patna before 7am, as they heard of technical glitch. 'But later, everything settled as the problem was sorted out,' he added. Another parent, Neelam Kumari, said that she, along with her daughter, reached the CUET exam centre, Ion Digital Zone in Azara, Guwahati at 7.45am. However, students were not allowed to enter the exam centre until 9.30am. 'The security guard at 9.15am announced that the reason behind the delay was a technical glitch. However, at 9.30am, students were allowed to enter the exam centre to sit for the exam.' While officials from the National Testing Agency, which conducts the exam, did not respond to HT's requests for comments, a person managing one of the exam centres said that the hour-long delay was caused due to technical errors in NTA servers. 'There was no problem in the exam process except the entry in the exam hall,' Suryoday Singh, owner of AIIT and management college in Prayagraj, which holds the exam, said. An observer, an individual appointed by the NTA to oversee the fair and smooth conduct of the exam at a test center, for the CUET-UG in Bihar said that there was some pan-India technical issue, but it was resolved well in time. 'The exams are from May 13 to June 6, and due to a delay in the morning, the students were concerned, but it was resolved,' said the official, who did not want to be quoted. CUET UG 2025 will be conducted by NTA till June 3 in computer-based mode. The exam is being held in three shifts daily: 9-10am, 12-1pm, and 3-4pm, covering 37 subjects including 13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects, and one general test. The test is available in 13 languages and is a key requirement for undergraduate admissions in central, state, and participating universities.

CUET-UG exam at several centres across country delayed due to ‘technical glitches'
The first shift of the CUET-UG exam was delayed at several centres across the country on Monday morning which National Testing Agency (NTA) officials said was due to technical glitches in the server. NTA officials, however, said that the 'issue was resolved after some time and the exam was conducted successfully at all centres. It was ensured that candidates were provided the full time for the examination.' Centres in Delhi, Noida, Faridabad, Patna, Varanasi, Srinagar, Samastipur, Dehradun, Dhanbad, Hyderabad, and Kalyani were affected more than others, an official said. On social media, candidates complained of a long wait outside exam centres as the test began well after the scheduled time of 9 am. A computer-based exam, CUET-UG is for undergraduate admissions to central universities and other participating institutions. Around 13.48 lakh candidates appeared for the exam last year. While the NTA had initially announced that the CUET-UG exams would begin on May 8, it later informed the University Grants Commission (UGC) that it was not prepared to conduct the exam. The exam then began on May 13. Due to technical glitches at a centre in Srinagar's Rangreth on May 13 and 14, the NTA had said on May 14 that the exams would be cancelled and rescheduled. The NTA has also offered a re-test for students who appeared for the accountancy paper from May 13 to 16, explaining that a revised question paper pattern would be implemented for the accountancy test from May 22 onwards. The NTA said this was intended to 'achieve convergence between the notified syllabus and the design of the question paper.' The CUET-UG exams this month came close on the heels of NEET-UG, which was held on May 4.

The move comes after students flagged concerns about the structure of the Accountancy paper during the first phase of the exam. Responding to this feedback, the NTA revised the question paper design and introduced more flexibility for test-takers. Key change: Optional unit introduced in Accountancy The revised exam pattern, which takes effect from May 22, 2025, allows candidates to choose between questions from Unit V: and an optional unit. Previously, questions from Unit V were compulsory — putting candidates unfamiliar with computerised accounting at a disadvantage. With the updated format, students can now align the exam to their strengths, selecting questions from areas they are better prepared in. The revision is aimed at 'maintaining parity and fairness for all candidates,' the NTA said in its latest public notice, adding that the decision was made in consultation with subject experts. No show means no score: Candidates who opt in for the retest but fail to appear will be marked ABSENT, and no marks will be awarded for the subject.
