Camila Cabello throws shade at Fifth Harmony amid reports of group's reunion without her

Camila Cabello posted a TikTok video on May 29 dancing to the chorus of 'Gnarly,' the debut single from rising girl group KATSEYE. In the video, Cabello can be seen playfully dancinf to the beat in a bathroom, as the caption overhead reads: 'might just be the ex girl group member in me but ive been doing this in my bathroom for the past 3 hours now.' The timing of the post caught attention, as it coincided with news that Fifth Harmony—Cabello's former group—is planning a reunion without her. According to reports, the group is set to reassemble in 2026 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their hit single 'Work From Home' and the album 7/27. Normani, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui are said to be involved in the comeback, which includes plans for a documentary and tour. Cabello, who departed Fifth Harmony in 2016 and gave up rights to the group's name, made no direct mention of the reunion. Still, the caption's reference to being an 'ex girl group member' and her decision to spotlight a new girl group's track on the same day stirred speculation. The reunion is reportedly being managed by Will Bracey, Ally Brooke's husband and COO of the Justin Bieber family office.

Fifth Harmony in Talks to Reunite

Yara Sameh Fifth Harmony is in talks to reunite without Camila Cabello. Forming through the TV singing competition The X Factor back in 2012, Fifth Harmony's original lineup consisted of Cabello, Normani, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui. The quintet would go on to become one of the best-selling girl groups of the 2010s, with their albums "Reflection" and "7/27" both going platinum, according to the RIAA. They nabbed their biggest hit with 'Work From Home,' featuring Ty Dolla $ign — which has 1.5 billion Spotify streams as of this story's publication — while 'Worth It,' featuring Kid Ink, went triple-platinum. 5H fans were shocked in late 2016 when Fifth Harmony announced that Cabello was leaving the group, confirming they'd continue as a foursome instead. As part of the split, Cabello relinquished her rights to the Fifth Harmony name. They re-signed with Epic Records after the departure and released the eponymous Fifth Harmony in 2017. By 2018, the group announced an indefinite hiatus so the members could focus on solo careers. Fifth Harmony is no longer on Epic's roster. As solo artists, Cabello has enjoyed the most successful career with massive global hits like 'Havana,' featuring Young Thug, and 'Señorita' with Shawn Mendes. Brooke, Jane, Jauregui and Normani have all released various singles and EPs as well, with Normani nabbing hits such as 'Motivation' and 'Love Lies' with Khalid. As Normani released her debut album "Dopamine" last year, 5H fans had speculated a reunion as all four of her former groupmates had publicly shown their support for the new record. The new Fifth Harmony has big plans for 2026, which would mark the 10th-year anniversary of "7/27" and 'Work From Home.' The group is working on a documentary to chronicle their return to the stage, which would capture footage on a yet-to-be-announced tour. It's unclear who is managing the group, but Will Bracey, who is married to Fifth Harmony member Ally Brooke — and serves as chief operating officer of the Justin Bieber family office — is said to be leading the charge. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

Fifth Harmony in talks to reunite without Camila Cabello after 8 year hiatus

Fifth Harmony, the chart-topping girl group formed on The X Factor in 2012, are in discussions to reunite without founding member Camila Cabello, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Multiple sources close to the matter confirmed the potential comeback, which would include Normani, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui. Cabello departed in 2016, relinquishing rights to the group name. Fifth Harmony continued as a four-piece, releasing a self-titled album in 2017 before announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2018. Their planned return is timed for 2026, which marks the 10th anniversary of their album 7/27 and hit single 'Work From Home'. The group is said to be working on a documentary covering their return to live performance, with a tour currently under wraps. Fifth Harmony achieved multiple platinum-certified albums and hits like 'Worth It,' reflecting their status as one of the most successful girl groups of the 2010s. In solo ventures, Cabello emerged as the most commercially successful with global singles such as 'Havana' and 'Señorita.' Ally Brooke's husband, Will Bracey — also COO at the Justin Bieber family office — is believed to be leading the reunion efforts. Bracey has not commented publicly, and other members' representatives remain unavailable.

Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Pablo Guanipa arrested amid election tensions

The Nicolás Maduro regime arrested opposition leader Juan Pablo Guanipa — a close ally of opposition figure María Corina Machado — early Friday morning, accusing him of orchestrating a terrorist network allegedly planning to sabotage regional elections scheduled for Sunday. Maduro's Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello announced the arrest in a televised address on Venezolana de Televisión. 'We are dismantling a terrorist and conspiracy network against our country, the elections, and the peace of our people,' Cabello said. Guanipa was detained as part of a broader operation that, according to Cabello, has led to the arrest of 38 individuals, including 21 Venezuelans and 17 foreigners. Authorities allege the group was involved in plotting attacks on infrastructure such as gas stations, hospitals, and transportation and power systems. Cabello credited the arrest to community tips and cooperation among civilians, police and the military. 'We have captured one of the leaders of this powerful and shadowy terrorist group,' he said. Among items reportedly seized were agendas, electronic devices and documents allegedly linking Guanipa to international funding and plans for violence. Officials also referenced supposed efforts to boycott the elections, backed by foreign actors and criminal networks. However, the government has yet to present public evidence supporting the accusations. Independent access to the detainees or their legal counsel has not been granted. In a prerecorded video released by the opposition after his arrest, Guanipa stated that he might be 'unjustly imprisoned, but never defeated.' 'Brothers and sisters, if you are seeing this, it is because I have been kidnapped by the forces of Nicolás Maduro's regime,' Guanipa said. 'For months, I, like many Venezuelans, have been in hiding to maintain my safety. Regrettably, my time in hiding has come to an end. As of today, I am part of the list of Venezuelans kidnapped by the dictatorship.' Guanipa, the former first vice president of the National Assembly (AN, Parliament), is, along with Machado, a key figure defending Edmundo González Urrutia's claimed victory in the presidential elections of July 28, 2024. According to recent polls, nine out of 10 Venezuelans believed that González won the election, obtaining twice as many votes as Maduro. This opinion is shared by several countries, including the United States. Venezuelans are scheduled to elect governors and new Congress officials this Sunday, but most polls predict a very low turnout due to a lack of faith in the regime's electoral system.
