Love Island's Cacherel 'Cach' Mercer broke down in tears during Wednesday's episode following the dramatic recoupling which saw Toni Laites recouple with Harrison. Toni surprised the villa on Monday night when she picked to recouple with Harrison instead of Cach, despite telling him she was done with him. Cach entered as a Casa Amor bombshell and swept Toni off her feet, while she was on and off with Harrison. The shock turn of events left Cach in tears as he took a moment on the terrace to cry on Ty's shoulder - which left fans in tears. 'I can't believe I'm crying. I haven't cried in years,' Cach told Ty. Ty told him: 'This is real though, it's you. It's better to let stuff like this out than bottle it up. It doesn't make you any less of a man, in fact more of a man.' Love Island fans were left in tears as they took to X to share their heartbreak and urged to 'protect him at all costs'. LOVE Island star Toni Laite's mum fought back tears as she confessed she's "really disappointed" in her. During the latest Love Island recoupling, Toni left her fellow Islanders and the viewers stunned when she made a shock move. 3 3 3 She had been coupled up with Cach Mercer, and assured the Casa Amor bombshell that things between her and Harrison Solomon were over for good. But when it was time to make a decision, Toni coupled up with Harrison - leaving Cach heartbroken. And her mother Leslie also thinks Toni made a huge mistake. Speaking in a new TikTok video, she said: "I feel like I just watched my daughter walk onto traintracks, and there is a bullet train coming at her. I can't scream at her… I can't grab her…" Struggling to hold back her tears, Leslie continued: "I thought I could hold it together… I'm really disappointed and I'm sure many of you are as well. "I feel like, at one point, she really woke up and I was like, 'I'm done'. "She's smarter than this and has more pride than this - so I don't know what is in the water over there, or what is happening. I'm devastated that Cach was so hurt in all of this. "She blew her chance with a really good guy, who would've treated her nicely and with respect - as we've seen him do." Last night Cach was seen hitting out at Toni for her mixed messages. He said: "That was one of the most embarrassing things I've been through in my entire life… "You knew what decision you wanted to make, you were just waiting for the go ahead from someone else."
