Saudi pavilion reports large turnout of visitors as Cairo International Book Fair ends
Saudi Gazette report CAIRO — Saudi Arabia's Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission concluded participation in Cairo International Book Fair 2025, which was held in the Egyptian capital from January 23 to February 5. The Saudi pavilion received a large turnout of visitors, as the Commission showcased many of its programs and initiatives that aim to develop the publishing and translation industry in Saudi Arabia, with the participation of publishers and international literary Commission's CEO, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Wasil, stressed that the Kingdom's participation in Cairo International Book Fair comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to enhance the Saudi presence in the regional and international cultural and literary arena, raise awareness of the Saudi culture and heritage, and emphasize its pioneering role in the regional and international cultural by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, 10 government agencies, including the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language, Saudi Cultural Attaché in Egypt, the King Abdulaziz Public Library, King Fahd National Library, Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University, Prince Sattam University, Tabuk University, Hafr Al-Batin University, and the Publishing Association, participatied in the fair. The Cairo International Book Fair 2025 is a leading international platform that brings together the most prominent bookmakers and thinkers from around the world. The Kingdom's participation in this event has contributed to strengthening its cultural presence at the international level, and opening new horizons for introducing Saudi culture regionally and globally.

New Educational Book Series for Children Launched at CIBF 2025
Nada Mustafa A new educational book series for children, titled "Children's Education Series in Japanese Methods," was recently launched at the Cairo International Book Fair 2025. The series is published by the "Masr Station International" magazine in Japan, headed by Abdul Rahman Younis. The series was launched at the Cairo International Book Fair 2025 at the Al-Gomhuria Newspaper booth. Targeting children aged 3 to 7 years, the series aims to foster creative thinking and develop cognitive skills through an engaging and innovative approach. It consists of three main books: "The Promise" – teaches commitment and responsibility. "Safety" – helps children understand the importance of safety and how to maintain it. "Etiquette" – promotes moral values and proper social behavior. The content is designed in a simple and interactive way, combining engaging activities and colorful illustrations to capture children's attention and encourage learning. The Cairo International Book Fair welcomes visitors daily from 10 AM to 8 PM, except on Thursdays and Fridays, when it extends to 9 PM. The fair continues its development efforts in line with Egypt's Vision 2030 and the country's digital transformation strategy. Oman is the Guest of Honor for the 56th edition of the fair, while the late scientist Ahmed Mostagir has been chosen as the Fair's Personality, and author Fatima Al-Maadoul as the Children's Book Fair Personality. TRENDS launches its participation in Cairo Book Fair
Ammon News - TRENDS Research & Advisory has kicked off its fourth participation in the Cairo International Book Fair 2025 with a unique pavilion showcasing over 350 diverse publications. Starting from the early days of the fair, the pavilion attracted a wide range of visitors, including ministers, ambassadors, officials, intellectuals, researchers, academics and enthusiasts of scientific and research content. Visitors commended TRENDS' knowledge-driven vision and strategy, which support global research efforts and foresight through knowledge. Among the notable visitors was H.E. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Egypt's Minister of Culture, who was briefed on TRENDS' global research strategy and browsed its latest publications, including key studies, research works, and scientific series. Dr. Hano praised the center's efforts in advancing knowledge and enhancing scientific research. Rich Content The pavilion also welcomed H.E. Olivia Toderean, Romania's Ambassador to Cairo; H.E. Dr. Maria Al-Hatali, Secretary-General of the UAE Council for Fatwa; H.E. Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director-General of the UAE National Library and Archives; Diana Ștefana Baciuna, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture, Romania; and Farhan Al Marzouqi, Director of Corporate and Community Outreach Department at the UAE National Library and Archives. A delegation from the Coordination's Committee of Parties' Youth Leaders and Politicians, Egypt, also visited the pavilion. Visitors were introduced to TRENDS' global research strategy and explored its diverse studies in economics, politics, international security, foreign policy, artificial intelligence, advanced technology, climate, and environment. They praised the variety and depth of the publications, which offer precise and objective scientific analyses of current international issues and crises. Exploring Collaboration The TRENDS team participating in the 56th Cairo International Book Fair engaged in discussions about collaboration and research partnerships with representatives from several international pavilions, research institutions, cultural organizations, and think tanks. These included the Romanian Pavilion, Oman's Pavilion, Qatar's Ministry of Culture Pavilion, Egypt's Ministry of Defense Pavilion, the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) of the Egyptian Cabinet, and the Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies. TRENDS honored H.E. Olivia Toderean, Romania's Ambassador to Cairo, and Diana Ștefana Baciuna, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture, Romania, with the TRENDS Research Medal in recognition of their efforts to promote scientific research and enhance knowledge dissemination. Harnessing Artificial Intelligence As part of its participation in the Cairo International Book Fair, TRENDS Research & Advisory will host a major symposium tomorrow, Monday, January 27, 2025, titled 'Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development: Future Insights and Perspectives'. The symposium will be held in collaboration with the Information and Decision Support Center of the Egyptian Cabinet and Bibliotheca Alexandrina at the IDSC headquarters in Egypt's New Administrative Capital.
