Trump once opened the door to the LGBTQ+ community. Now activists say he's their top threat
WASHINGTON (AP) — When he first ran for office, Donald Trump appeared to be a new kind of Republican when it came to gay rights. Years earlier, he overturned the rules of his own Miss Universe pageant to allow a transgender contestant to compete. He said Caitlyn Jenner could use any bathroom at Trump Tower that she wanted. And he was the first president to name an openly gay person to a Cabinet-level position.

Surgeon behind Hollywood's hottest makeovers flooded with new patients after Kylie Jenner boob job reveal
Kylie Jenner shocked her fans this week after spilling all the details of her boob job on social media. The 27-year-old was more than happy to respond to a fan on TikTok with all the information about her augmentation, writing, '445cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! Silicone!!!' She also publicly named her plastic surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher. After Jenner's confession, can confirm that Dr. Fisher was inundated with inquiries from potential new patients who wanted to achieve the star's busty look. The Beverly Hills-based doctor is already one of Hollywood's most popular plastic surgeons and a longtime favorite of the Kardashians and Jenners. Vanity Fair magazine once dubbed him 'The Enhancer' for his subtle yet flawless work, while USA Today and Newsweek named him one of the best plastic surgeons in America. Dr. Fisher is widely known for performing Kris Jenner 's 'Pinnacle' facelift, which was feature on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The board-certified surgeon also did Kourtney Kardashian 's breast augmentation and removed a tumor from Khloe's face. He even gave a pre-transition Caitlyn Jenner a revision facelift, which was also featured on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. 'Garth Fisher is genius,' Caitlyn gushed after the procedure. 'Nobody really know I'd had anything done!' Outside of the Kardashians, Dr. Fisher helped actress Lisa Rinna achieve a more natural pout after she'd had permanent silicone lip fillers in the late '80s. Earlier in his career, Dr. Fisher was Hugh Hefner's go-to surgeon and often performed breast augmentations on Playboy magazine's many models and centerfolds. He was even behind Kendra Wilkinson and Holly Madison's implants. Outside of breasts, Dr. Fisher is also famous for his signature 'Pinnacle' facelift. The Pinnacle Lift, which Dr. Fisher claims is the best facelift in Beverly Hills, uses techniques that he personally developed and is designed 'to remove years of stress and sun exposure.' He also resists jumping on bandwagons and plastic surgery trends, and instead focuses on sticking with classic methods that have been tried and tested. 'My results are predictable and reproducible,' he told The Morning After podcast. 'I understand everything. I don't need anything that new. I'm all for new technology, but I'm not gonna jump on a bandwagon until I know it's been proven and it's not going to be pulled off the market,' he continued. 'I don't want my patients to be guinea pigs for all this stuff.' Appearing on The Face with Alex Pike podcast, Dr. Fisher said that social media platforms like Instagram have given people a warped sense of beauty. 'Instagram came and then you see all these filters and it's just not realistic,' he explained. 'And you can't capitalize that and say, "I'm going to make you look like this filter" - it's just not gonna happen.' Dr. Fisher stressed the importance of letting prospective patients know that they're not going to be able to achieve a filtered social media aesthetic in real life. 'It's our responsibility to dictate what's necessary, what's appropriate, and what the possibilities are and be honest with our patients.' The surgeon also said that he has no issue turning patients away if he can't deliver what they're after. 'There's different ideas of what patients want and if I don't mirror that and I don't think that I can - or want - to deliver what they want, I just remove myself from the picture,' he shared. 'I like understated - I don't want people to look like they've had plastic surgery.'

The VERY complicated Hadid family: As Gigi and Bella's secret half-sister is revealed, how the models are linked to Hollywood royalty, including Kylie Jenner and Elvis Presley
Bella and Gigi Hadid have revealed their stunning secret half-sister Aydan Nix in an exclusive statement to the Daily Mail - but it's far from being the only surprising family connections the models have. Both sisters, along with their brother Anwar, share unlikely links to some of Hollywood's most glitzy A-listers across the ages; from Elvis to Kylie Jenner. At the heart of their plethora of showbiz webs is ex-step father and award-winning composer David Foster, who has been dubbed 'Patient Zero of the Kardashian phenomenon' by his own daughter, thanks to his five famous marriages, according to Vanity Fair. The producer, as well as being wed to Yolanda Hadid for seven years, has also been married to Caitlyn Jenner 's ex Linda Thompson, who enjoyed a four year romance with 'The King of Rock' Presley in the 70s. Further red strings emerge when it emerges that Robert Kardashian - Kris Jenner 's ex and the father of her children - too was linked to the musical legend as he dated his wife Priscilla after his sister-in-law was linked to the star's road manager Joe Esposito. The most recent familial surprise comes from the Hadids themselves, as Gigi, 30, and Bella, 28, confirmed they have a secret sibling who has become part of their inner circle after meeting for the first time less than two years ago. The 23-year-old graduated from the Parsons School of Design in Manhattan earlier this month and was born after her mother became pregnant after a brief romance with Mohamed Hadid, the models' multi-millionaire real estate developer father. Aydan and her mother's link to the superstar family have been kept under wraps for almost two decades, until now. The sisters on Thursday said that they have 'cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family'. The Daily Mail understands that Mohamed, now 76, maintains a relationship with Aydan in private but has never acknowledged her publicly. The young graduate, who grew up in Orlando, Florida, studied Fine and Studio Arts at Parsons and connected with the sisters when she was studying abroad in Paris last year. Since then, she has been photographed with them on multiple occasions. They have been spotted on nights out in New York and during bikini-clad trips to the beach. Family members told the the Daily Mail that the newfound sisters have kept in contact and were 'becoming closer'. David, as well as being wed to Yolanda Hadid for six years, has also been married to Caitlyn Jenner 's ex Linda Thompson, who enjoyed a four year romance with 'The King of Rock' Presley in the 70s. They follow each other on social media and appear on each others' Instagram stories. Aydan's relationship with Bella and Gigi is far from her only Hollywood link, with the Hadids invisibly tethered to many A-listers via their mother's second marriage. Yolanda, 61 - who was married to Mohamed from 1994 to 2000, with the couple having Gigi, Bella and Anwar together - went on to have a relationship with music industry legend David Foster and the pair wed in 2011. They later announced in 2015 that they were divorcing, and the process was finalized two years later. The Canadian record producer, 75, has worked with countless stars including George Harrison, Rod Stewart, Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin and Celine Dion. He served as a stepfather to all three of Yolanda's kids. Since the split, the families appear to have maintained fairly congenial relationships. David, who had previously been married to B.J. Cook, 82, Rebecca Dyer, 73, and Linda Thompson, 75, later got engaged to actress Katharine McPhee, 41, in 2018 and tied the knot with her the following year. In February 2021, they welcomed their first child together, a son, Rennie, now four. He became the six of David's children, including his oldest daughter Allison Jones, 54, who was born when David was 20 and was initially adopted by another couple, though she later reconnected with him and took on a major role at the David Foster Foundation. His other daughters include Amy S. Foster, 51; Sara Foster, 43; Erin Foster, 40; and Jordan Foster, 37. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Erin previously spoke about how Gigi had kept up a relationship with her former step-siblings. 'Gigi actually just DMed me last night saying she was starting to watch the show,' she said, referring to her hit Netflix rom-com Nobody Wants This. 'The kids don't get divorced, just the parents do.' Gigi has also welcomed a daughter, Khai, with fellow A-lister Zayn Malik in 2020. It is through David's past marriage to singer Linda that he bridges the Hadids to the Jenners, as she was married to Caitlyn Jenner from 1981 to 1985, with the couple sharing sons Brandon and Brody. Caitlyn went on to wed Kris Jenner, 69 - the Kardashian's matriarch - and the pair were married for more than two decades. They had daughters Kylie, 27, and Kendall, 29 - who are both now known to be pals with the Hadid sisters. Kris, who had Kourtney, 46, Kim, 44, Khloe, 40, and Rob, 38, with her late ex-husband and Hollywood lawyer Robert also links the Hadids to the Kardashian by proxy. And both Linda and Robert offer a bizarre Old Hollywood bridge for the family - as they dated both Elvis and Priscilla Presley respectively. Speaking to CNN in 2002, Linda opened up about the challenges of dating such a big star - and admitted she still thought of him decades on. 'You know, it's over 25 years since his passing. He had a tremendous impact on my life, my perception of life, my perception of love and what romance and marriage and family should be, could be,' she revealed. 'So, yes, I think of him even in subliminal terms sometimes. He influences my music and lyrics, as do all the people that I have loved in my life, from my mom and dad to other people that I have loved.' Elsewhere, some reports have even claimed that Robert and Priscilla nearly got married.

Kourtney Kardashian slams 'controlling and bossy' Caitlyn Jenner over step-parenting style
In a candid new interview with sister Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian Barker opened up about her rocky relationship with Caitlyn Jenner growing up - and revealed the tension was so intense, it led her to move out of the family home as a teenager. Speaking on Khloé's podcast Khloé in Wonder Land, Kourtney shared that she found Caitlyn - then Bruce, before her transition - 'controlling and bossy' as a stepparent, which ultimately pushed her to live full-time with her father, the late Robert Kardashian. 'I'd be like, "I wanna call my dad!" and then he'd, like, hang up the phone,' Kourtney recalled, using Caitlyn's old pronouns. 'We'd have yelling wars.' Kourtney was around 11 years old when Caitlyn married their mother, Kris Jenner, in 1991, shortly after Kris finalized her divorce from Robert. At the time, Kim was 10, Khloé was six, and Rob Jr. was just three. Kris and Caitlyn would go on to have two daughters together, Kendall and Kylie, expanding the already blended Kardashian-Jenner household. But while Khloé expressed appreciation for Caitlyn's approach to step-parenting, saying she 'never tried to be dad,' Kourtney's experience couldn't have been more different. 'Really, he tried to be dad for you?' Khloé asked in surprise, to which Kourtney replied, 'He tried to be controlling and bossy. Like, certain friends can't come over.' Kourtney went on to explain that it wasn't just Caitlyn's strictness that pushed her away - it was also the example set by her dad's then-fiancée, Denise, who she credits with showing her what a positive stepparent relationship could look like. 'Denise was our dad's fiancée for five years,' Khloé told listeners. 'We loved her, we still love her.' Kourtney agreed, adding, 'I think about what an amazing example she was to all of us. 'She taught us so much about being young ladies at the time. I think having that really positive experience with Denise really helped me, too.' Khloé admitted that she thought Kourtney's negative feelings had to do with thinking Caitlyn was trying to 'replace' her dad, but she said that wasn't it. She then also hinted that Kourtney's reaction might have influenced Caitlyn's later approach with her younger siblings. 'Maybe mom had a talk with him, maybe your rejection taught him something,' Khloé suggested. Ultimately, Kourtney revealed that her discomfort with Caitlyn's parenting style became too much to handle. 'That's why I moved into dad's,' she said. Kourtney has previously shared that she made the move when she was 16, with Kim eventually joining her. Their father, Robert, tragically passed away from esophageal cancer in 2003. Kourtney was 24 at the time. Kris and Caitlyn eventually separated in 2013, and Caitlyn came out publicly as transgender in 2015. Despite the family's evolution - and their many ups and downs - Kourtney's story is a powerful reminder that even under the same roof, childhood experiences can be profoundly different. 'See?' Khloé said during the podcast, clearly stunned by the revelations. 'You can live in the same house, be raised by the same parents, and have totally different experiences. I'm sorry you went through that.' 'Thank you,' Kourtney replied. 'It was fine.'

Kourtney Kardashian blasts Caitlyn Jenner's 'controlling' parenting style after being slammed as 'out of touch'
Kourtney Kardashian opened up about Caitlyn Jenner's parenting style - which she labeled as both 'controlling' and 'bossy.' The Poosh founder, 46 - who recently was slammed by fans for being 'out of touch' - opened up about the topic as she appeared on her sister Khloe's podcast titled Khloe In Wonder Land. The TV personality is the eldest daughter of Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian - who divorced in 1991. That same year, the socialite married Caitlyn (then Bruce Jenner) until their official split in 2015. While discussing parenthood, Khloe commended her older sibling for not 'being the disciplinary' when it comes to raising her husband Travis Barker 's children. '[Caitlyn] never tried to be dad,' the podcast host said, referencing to their late father Robert. 'And I always appreciated and respected that.' However, Kourtney disagreed with the statement as she recalled having 'yelling wars' with Caitlyn, who she described as 'controlling.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Okay, so, that wasn't my experience,' she recalled. 'But maybe that's why it became your experience. So [I'm] grateful for that for you.' The reality star then recalled Caitlyn had 'tried to be controlling and bossy' and further remembered Jenner told her 'certain friends can't come over' while growing up. Upon hearing Kourtney's side, Khloe revealed that she initially believed her sister didn't get along with their stepfather because 'he was replacing dad. Not that he did, no one could replace dad.' Kourtney then talked about how both she and Caitlyn would have arguments in the past which would turn into 'yelling wars.' She explained, 'I would be like, "I wanna call my Dad," and [Caitlyn] would hang up the phone. We would have yelling wars.' The star later decided to move in with her father Robert - who passed away in 2003 after a short battle with esophageal cancer. Caitlyn and Kris Jenner married in 1991 and welcomed two children: Kendall, 29, and Kylie, 27. Upon tying the knot, the Olympic gold medalist also became stepfather at the time to Kris' kids from her past marriage to Robert: Kourtney, Khloe, 40, Kim, 44, and Rob, 38. Caitlyn also has four other children from previous relationships: Brody Jenner, Burt Jenner, Brandon Jenner and Cassandra Marino. In 2015, Jenner came out a trans woman and a few years later, she opened up about her relationship with her children - including the Kardashians during a 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer. 'Some [of my children] I have remained very close to. A couple of them… I'm a little more distant. 'I have to admit, I'll sit here and wonder, "Is it because of my transitioning? Or is it because their life is so busy that they don't call, like, all the time?"' Caitlyn added, 'Nobody calls that much. I mostly reach out to them. Obviously, the Jenner side calls more, but they all have their own lives.' Earlier this year, Brody Jenner shared that he had felt 'abandoned' by Caitlyn during his childhood while appearing on Special Forces: World's Toughest Test. 'I had an incredible mother. Father, Bruce, at the time, wasn't around that much,' Brody said at the time, per E! News. But he shared that Caitlyn had reached out to him and offered an apology. 'Just recently, I got a real, sincere apology. 'It was the first time in my life that I've ever gotten an apology. You know, I'm sorry for not being there, and honestly, it meant a lot.' While joining her sister Khloe on the podcast episode this week, Kourtney also talked about living authentically, and not conforming to what's expected of a family - bringing up the school system. She discussed her kids and how they wanted to do homeschooled - versus going to a school - which fans slammed on social media, calling her 'out of touch.' 'Why do kids f*****g go to school?' Kourtney said, adding that it is 'dated.' Kourtney also revealed that she only works once a week - something she decided on after giving birth to son Rocky, one: 'I had a strong desire to not work and stay home and be with the kids, which is... I would say probably like once a week I'll work.' Kourtney shares three kids with ex-partner Scott Disick: sons Mason, 15, and Reign, 10, and daughter Penelope, 12. She welcomed son Rocky on November 1, 2023 with husband Travis Barker. Travis has two children from his past marriage to Shanna Moakler: Landon, 21, and Alabama, 19 - as well as his former stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, 26, whom he helped raise. Atiana is the daughter of Shanna and Oscar De La Hoya. 'Living authentically is not conforming to whatever it is and whether for me- there's so many ways. There's ways we function as a family. Like if someone does the same thing every day. I do it with everything. It's not about our family. Let's say the school system. I'll think, why do kids f*****g go to school? Truly. It's so dated,' Kourtney said in the podcast. 'I'm such a home school person so don't even get me going,' Khloe then added. Kourtney explained: 'So then I'll start thinking... and then like my kids will start sending me videos why do kids to school. 'It will be like really successful people and they'll be like my kids never go to school and they're never going to. And I'm like, what's the goal here. You want to do homeschool? Okay let's do it.' Kourtney was slammed on social media for her comments about school, specifically when she called going to school as 'dated.' 'Because normal kids need an education to eventually work. Not everybody can leech off their parents,' once wrote on X - formerly Twitter - while another said that 'some people can't afford nanny's. 'She needs to home school her kids. The question is will she do it or go hire a teacher. These out of touch ppl,' one person wrote. 'Kids should go to school so they don't end up like her and the rest of the Kardashians,' a fan tweeted. 'Out of touch celebrity says something that's out of touch,' a fan wrote, and one said, 'Clearly her brain is outdated.' Khloe and Kourtney also covered a number of topics, including how often Kourtney works. When talking about being a mom again to Rocky, she said: 'Becoming a mom again really ignited, like intensely ignited my motherly role, my motherly instinct, sometimes I feel like my feminine energy. I feel like it intensely ignited that feeling inside me of just I am a mom.' Kourtney continued: 'I had a strong desire to not work and stay home and be with the kids, which is... I would say probably like once a week I'll work.' 'It's not like the whole day, its a couple hours of my day. the rest of the time I'm truly at home and I'm being a mom.'
