What we know The incident happened on Friday, April 25. CCSO says that investigators determined that a 2021-2023 gray Nissan Rogue followed someone from a Wells Fargo bank in Austin to their home in the 100 block of Davis Mountain Drive, off Borchert Loop and TX 142. After they went inside, the suspect got out of the Nissan and broke into the victim's driver-side window and stole an envelope which contained cash the victim had recently withdrawn from the bank. The suspect is described as Black or Hispanic and was wearing shorts and a dark-colored hoodie. What you can do Anyone who has information on this incident, including the identity of the suspect or vehicle, is asked to contact Det. Salazar at 512-359-4519 or CCSO is also urging residents to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement. Lenoir woman charged with felony death by distribution after fatal overdose
A Lenior woman has been charged in connection with a fatal overdose, according to the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said they found a person dead at a home in the Oak Hill community late Tuesday. ALSO READ: Law broadens charge of death by distribution to sharing the drug However, the victim has not been identified, according to the Hickory Record. Deputies said Brittany Foust had sold the drugs that killed the victim. Foust was arrested and charged with felony death by distribution. She is being held under a $1 million bond. Caldwell County Sheriff's Office investigating Easter Sunday shooting
DALE, Texas (KXAN) — The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly shooting that happened in Dale on Easter. Deputies responded to a crash in the 6000 block of Taylorsville Road on Sunday, where a vehicle with three men inside had lost control and rolled over. Two of the occupants were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's office. The third person died after first responders attempted life-saving measures. The sheriff's office said the crash investigation revealed that the person who died had a gunshot wound. Deputies then went to a nearby house, where they said the shooting happened, to continue investigating. The person who died has not yet been identified by authorities, and the investigation is ongoing. Caldwell County sheriffs welcome new ESD K9 Harrison
CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office welcomes its newest member, an Electronic Storage Device (ESD) K9. K9 Harrison is an American Labrador born on September 2, 2022. He was donated through a grant by Operation Underground Railroad (OUR) Rescue and received specialized training from Jordan Detection K9 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Harrison specializes in solving cases involving digital evidence. His training allows him to detect hidden electronic devices capable of storing or transmitting data, including cell phones, laptops, hard drives, USB drives, SIM cards, micro-SD cards, etc. His primary focus will be assisting the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) department, using his skills to fight against online exploitation. Two arrested after drugs and weapons were seized from Lenoir home: Sheriff
CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two people were arrested and face drug-related charges after deputies seized drugs and weapons from a Lenoir home, deputies say. Narcotics agents with the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office, Lenoir Police Department, Watauga County Sheriff's Office and the NCSBI executed a search warrant on a home on Bee Mountain Road on Feb. 26. Agents located 31-year-old Bandy Nicole Isaacs and 44-year-old James Clifton Vaughan in the home, along with approximately 17 grams of methamphetamine, 62 oxycodone pills, 3 firearms and over $1,800 in cash. The drugs seized have a total street value of $3,500, according to the NC State Drug Guidelines. Issacs had an outstanding warrant for a probation violation and faces multiple charges, including: Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon Vaughan was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine and Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances. Isaacs and Vaughan were placed in the Caldwell Detention Center. Isaacs was given a $91,950 secured bond, and Vaughan was given a $55,000 secured bond. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
