#SHOWBIZ: South Korean actor Seo In-guk to hold fan meet on Oct 10
KUALA LUMPUR: South Korean singer-actor Seo In-guk is scheduled to hold a fan meet in Malaysia on October 10. The 'Heart Cookie Tour' will take place at 8pm at Kuala Lumpur's HGH Convention Centre, offering fans an exclusive opportunity to get up close with the talented 37-year-old star. LOL Asia, the event's organiser, announced on Facebook yesterday that attendees can expect an intimate and memorable experience, featuring his live performances. Since winning Mnet's talent show Superstar K in 2009, Seo has released chart-topping hits such as 'Calling', 'I Love U', and 'Shake It Up'. He transitioned into acting with a supporting role in the 2012 series Love Rain, and secured his first leading role in the hit K-drama Reply 1997 in the same year. Seo's other notable dramas include Master's Sun (2013), The Smile Has Left Your Eyes (2018), and Death's Game (2023).

Seo In-guk to meet Malaysian fans this October
SOUTH Korean singer and actor Seo In-guk is bringing his Heart Cookie Asia Fan Meeting Tour to Kuala Lumpur on Oct 10 at HGH Convention Centre. This marks his return to Malaysia, giving fans the rare chance to meet the star who has made his mark in both music and acting. Seo first gained national attention after winning Mnet's Superstar K in 2009. His debut mini album Calling topped charts and cemented his position as a rising star. He later transitioned into acting, earning acclaim with the 2012 hit drama Reply 1997, where he starred alongside Jung Eun-ji. This role propelled him into the spotlight and marked the beginning of a successful acting career. Since then, he has appeared in numerous popular dramas, including Master's Sun (2013), High School King of Savvy (2014), Hello Monster (2015), Shopping King Louie (2016), The Smile Has Left Your Eyes (2018), Doom at Your Service (2021), Café Minamdang (2022) and the critically acclaimed Death's Game (2023). In film, Seo has taken on lead roles in No Breathing (2013), Pipeline (2021), and Project Wolf Hunting (2022), the latter gaining international attention for its bold and intense direction, with Seo praised for his gritty performance. This year, Seo continues to expand his presence in the entertainment industry. In May, he released Couple, a duet with Jung Eun-ji, marking their first musical collaboration in 13 years. He's also set to star in several upcoming dramas, including KBS2's Twelve and Netflix's Boyfriend On Demand (working title), where he appears opposite Blackpink's Jisoo. Sadhguru conferred with ‘Global Indian of the Year' award by Canada India Foundation
NEW DELHI: Spiritual leader and Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru was conferred the 'Global Indian of the Year' award by the Canada India Foundation (CIF). The award recognised his contributions to raising human consciousness and promoting ecological sustainability through the Conscious Planet movement. The event was attended by Indo-Canadian leaders, entrepreneurs, and members of the community. CIF Chair Ritesh Malik and National Convenor Sunita Vyas presented the award. Sadhguru dedicated the prize to the ' Calling' initiative, which aims to revitalise the Cauvery River and improve the livelihoods of millions of people in the region. The project supports large-scale tree planting efforts in the river basin. The award had been initially announced in October 2024. Speaking at the event, CIF chair Malik cited Sadhguru's work in addressing issues such as soil degradation, climate change, and mental health. Following the ceremony, CIF posted on social media platform X and said, 'Extremely grateful, on behalf of the Indo-Canadian community, to have Sadhguru accept the Canada India Foundation's Global Indian of the Year award last evening. Sadhguru's message resonates deeply: a conscious and compassionate humanity is the way forward.' The Canada India Foundation is a public policy think tank focused on strengthening Canada-India relations. Its Global Indian Award honours individuals of Indian origin who have made a significant impact globally.
