Harrowing CCTV footage caught the moment when the robbery took place and showed a large blue pick-up truck pulling up at the property. Two men, who had their faces covered, were then seen getting out of the motor and heading into the garden. After looking around in an area at the back, they return to the car and slowly start to reverse it towards the garage. The two men then focus their attention on the garage door, with one smashing through the door while the other stands guard holding a long weapon. The pair then find the jet ski inside the garage, and the video shows them attaching it to the back of the truck before towing it away. For someone to come to my home and damage my property is devastating... We believe someone has tipped them off and said I wasn't home Callum McDougall Owner Callum was left devastated after returning home from his trip to Tenerife with his son to find his property broken into and his beloved jet ski gone. He told the Daily Record: "I checked my security footage and I couldn't believe it. For someone to come to my home and damage my property is devastating. "I immediately phoned the police. We believe someone has tipped them off and said I wasn't home. "I used to keep the jet ski stored at the back of the garden. In the footage, they go up the back of the garden first, to where I used to keep it, before finding it in the garage. Shopkeeper hit with spate of thefts forced to TACKLE shoplifters himself as cops 'just let them off the hook' "Someone who knows me and knew I was away told these guys. They knew what they were doing." Police have now launched an investigation into the theft and have said that enquiries are ongoing. But Callum said that officers told him the late-night raid could have been carried out by an organised crime gang after other properties in Loch Lomond and Stirling were also targeted. The dad-of-one added: "It's a horrible feeling knowing they knew where I lived." Callum bought the jet ski brand new in 2023 and wanted to use to to make special memories with his son. And he is now offering a £5,000 reward to anyone who can help him get it back, or give him information on its whereabouts. Someone who knows me and knew I was away told these guys... It's a horrible feeling knowing they knew where I lived Callum McDougall Sharing snippets of the CCTV on Facebook, he urged anyone with any information to come forward. It is believed that the thugs headed towards Kilmarnock after surrounding CCTV footage captured them driving in that direction. Callum posted: "Appealing for help today. Can anyone in the surrounding areas who has CCTV on any main road check their cameras, please. "My house was targeted when I was away on a family holiday, property destroyed and jet ski stolen. On the Up: IA and Rei release new single for NZ Music Month 2025
'After 25 years of marriage, this waiata resonates deeply. Love isn't always easy, but patience and perseverance create something truly magical.' About using the analogy of the eel, Rei (Callum McDougall) said: 'If eels can journey to Tonga overcoming every obstacle, surely our own relationships can endure life's hardships.' He piko he tuna blends smooth R'n'B with minimalist beats and the voices of the punga ihu (clay nose flute), which are meant to evoke the echoes of late '90s R'n'B and hip-hop. IA's lead vocalist Reti Hedley said the song offered listeners a tranquil space to unwind, reflect and reconnect with the calm waters of their relationships. 'It's a great track for winding down, offering a moment of calm amidst life's currents.' The song was created remotely across Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Central Asia and Ngāruawāhia, with the music video being filmed in and around Taupō. 'We had great fun filming. Despite sitting in freezing water from Tongariro River pretending to be relaxed, it was definitely memorable,' Rei said. IA are based in Waikato and create music that blends contemporary genres with traditional Māori instruments, exploring themes of identity, connection and cultural heritage. Rei is an award-winning artist known for fusing Māori language and tikanga with modern R'n'B, hip-hop and electronic influences, celebrating innovative and soulful storytelling. Rei and IA formed their friendship at the International Indigenous Music Summit in Canada in 2023. They said he piko he tuna was rooted in whakawhanaungatanga, true relationship-building. Writing the song together felt 'connected and personal', Rei said. '[It was] not just verses swapped remotely, but an authentic, collaborative effort from the heart.' Hedley added: 'It felt like writing with a cuzzy who has your back, knowing that we've got theirs too. 'It's an indescribable feeling of being inspired by someone and who you also inspire.' He piko he tuna is available on all streaming platforms now.
