New Aber publisher launches debut books written by and for marginalised communities
Known for his columns in the Cambrian News and as rum connoisseur at Irie's Rum Bar in Aberystwyth, the venue will host the launch party for the books - poetry in I Zig and I Zag and novel, Love and Happiness, on Thursday 25 September.

Ceredigion council doesn't admit to mistakes
For more than a month, the council has refused repeated requests by the Cambrian News for information on the future of Lampeter university campus, following the paper's disclosure that chief executive Eifion Evans, seemingly acting with something close to autocratic zeal, is spearheading an approach to the Welsh government seeking funding to enable the council to buy the campus, perhaps for use as a sixth-form centre, while at the same time initiating moves to sell off five residential properties in Aberystwyth after receiving an 'offer from a third party'.

Mid Wales MP to rebel against his own party and vote against PIP plans
Speaking to the Cambrian News, Mr Witherden said: 'There are some welcome changes in the Green Paper, including abolishing three-yearly assessments for the most severely disabled, proposals on Unemployment Insurance, a billion pounds for helping people get work, no freeze in PIP, the ruling out of the voucher system the Tories desired and a 'Right to Try', allowing disabled people to see how they cope with work without losing their support.
