Easy, peasy! Kids squeeze lemons to promote LemonAID Day
Lemon Twist was an event held by the Family and Children's Services Foundation on Wednesday to promote their annual LemonAID day on June 7. Children were invited to juice lemons and win prizes. The foundation's executive director Jill Stoddart says LemonAID will benefit the work they do, including sending children to camps throughout Waterloo region this summer. Breslau drone manufacturer gets $700K in federal funding
Avidrone Aerospace is a Breslau-based drone manufacturer who specialize in unmanned, payload-carrying aircraft. Of the $9 million in funding the federal government injected into Waterloo region businesses, Avidrone received $700,000. BWXT Cambridge to add 350 new jobs
Ontario Minister of Energy Stephen Lecce was in Cambridge Monday to announce that the Ontario government has authorized Ontario Power Generation to sign $960 million in contracts with BWXT, generating 350 new jobs. Workers would be part of the construction of 48 new steam generators for the Pickering nuclear power plant and would begin work on small modular reactors for the Darlington New Nuclear Project.
