NCAA Men's Golf Championship highlights: Virginia, Oklahoma State advance to championship match
It's down to two.
After a marathon day Tuesday at the 2025 NCAA Men's Golf Championship, only two teams have a chance to win a national title. Virginia and Oklahoma State will battle it out Wednesday for the right to be called national champions.

Virginia is in search of its first title while Oklahoma State would pick up its 12th.

Oklahoma State advances
Eric Lee buries a par putt on the extra hole, and he sends Oklahoma State to the national championship match on Wednesday against Virginia. What. A. Match.
Final match going extra holes
Eric Lee missed an eagle putt to win the match for Oklahoma State, and the Pokes and Ole Miss are going extra holes after a pair of bogeys. The par-3 16th up first.
OSU ties it
This one is coming down to he wire. Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson has numerous chances to win in regulation and the first playoff hole but finally beats Cameron Tankersley in 20 holes.

OSU's Eric Lee and Ole Miss' Cohen Trolio are tied and in the 17th fairway.
Tom Fischer survives to give Ole Miss second point
There has been so much action in the last 15 minutes, or ugly golf, however you look at it. But Tom Fischer somehow manages a par on the closing 18th and wins his match 1 up against Ethan Fang.
Ole Miss leads 2-1. Last two matches tied.
Ole Miss ties it up
Kye Meeks tops Gaven Lane 4 and 2, and Ole Miss is on the board.
Cameron Tankersley narrowly got beat twice for Ole Miss but has fought back and tied the match on the 18th hole.
Preston Stout takes down NCAA individual champion
Oklahoma State gets the first point of the second afternoon match, after Preston Stout takes down Michael La Sasso 5 and 4. Of the remaining four matches, OSU is up in one, Ole Miss leads two and the fourth is tied.
Ben James sends Virginia to championship match
Ben James nearly holes out from a greenside bunker, but the birdie is good enough on 18 for a 1-up win over Luke Poulter, and Virginia has a chance to win a national title on Wednesday. The Cavaliers, the ACC champs, move to 5-0 in match play this season.
Josh Duangmanee gets Virginia's second point
The Cavaliers are one win away from advancing to Wednesday's championship match. Duangmanee took the lead with a strong two-putt par on the 17th and then Jack Turner got in trouble off the tee on 18, and Duangmanee found the putting surface in two shots. His eagle attempt came up a couple feet short, but by that point, the next point was on the board.
Checking on Oklahoma State-Ole Miss
The Cowboys have a lead in the first three matches, which have all made the turn. Ole Miss is leading in the final two, which have yet to make it to the back nine.
Virginia gets first point in semifinal round
Maxi Puregger gets his first win in match play after being subbed in during stroke play, topping Florida's Matthew Kress 4 and 3.

The other four matches are tied, so everything remains up for grabs.
Florida fights back
The Gators have fought back to make four matches tied with every group on the back nine. Virginia started hot but has cooled off some, though it remains in front in the anchor match.
Virginia dominating early
In the matchup featuring two blue and orange schools, advantage Virginia on the front nine. The Cavaliers lead in four of the five matches with the fifth tied. Two of those matches are 2-up advantages.
OSU wins first hole
One hole, one win for Oklahoma State in the second match against Ole Miss. Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson won in the lead match in the quarterfinals, and after Cameron Tankersley gets in trouble on the first and makes double, Fahlberg-Johnsson capitalizes with a par and goes 1 up.
Virginia up early on Florida
The Cavaliers are making their third straight appearance in match play, but this year is the first time they've advanced to the semifinals. Early on in the match against Florida, Virginia is 1 up in three matches, with Ben James, Paul Chang and Maxi Puregger all taking an early advantage.
Ole Miss takes out No. 1 Arizona State
OK, this isn't a semifinal, but Ole Miss topped Arizona State 3-2 after Tom Fischer beat Michael Mjaaseth in 21 holes, tied for the longest match in NCAA Men's Golf Championship history.

The Rebels will face Oklahoma State.

NCAA Men's Golf Championship format
Finals play for both championships consist of three days of stroke play on Friday thru Sunday (54 holes), after which the top-15 teams and nine individuals not on an advancing team will be determined. That is followed by a final day of 18 holes of stroke play (Monday) to determine the top eight teams that will advance to match play as well as the 72-hole individual champion. The team national champion will be determined by a match-play format that will consist of quarterfinals and semifinals conducted on Tuesday, followed by the finals on Wednesday.
