ALBAWABA - Can Yaman El Turco sets global release dates and premieres soon.
Madd Entertainment, located in Istanbul, published the international trailer for the highly anticipated English-language drama 'El Turco,' starring Turkish megastar Can Yaman. This six-episode series weaves history, action-adventure, and romance around a famous Ottoman person who represents Turkey and the West.
'El Turco' will premiere on Voyo in Romania, IVI in Russia, and Globoplay in Brazil on March 21, 2025. Mediaset Infinity will play a ten-minute preview today in Italy, while Canale 5 will air the whole series on March 27. The show will premiere in Honduras on Teleonce on March 23 and in Turkey on Gaín on April 2. Starz is set to arrive in MENA on April 18.
Yaman plays 17th-century Ottoman soldier Hasan Balaban in 'El Turco,' an intriguing and astonishing story. Balaban arrived in Moena, 200 kilometers from the battlefront, after being severely injured during the Turkish army's 1683 effort to seize Vienna. The locals called him 'El Turco' for leading a rebellion against draconian tax regulations, making him a local hero.
In a panel at the Mipcom TV market last October, Can Yaman said, 'Now, Moena is a ski resort, but many people there still feel Turkish.' He loves the character and tale.
