Three people are dead and at least eight are wounded following a mass shooting at a crowded lounge in Brooklyn. Multiple gunmen opened fire overnight inside the Taste of the City Lounge on Franklin Avenue in the Canarsie section of the borough, New York City police said Sunday. The NYPD said the shooting stemmed from a dispute between people inside the lounge. At least 36 shell casings were recovered from what appeared to be multiple guns, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said during a news conference at the scene. The victims' include eight men and three women, the NYPD said. Their ages range from 27 to 61 years old. Three men were pronounced dead at the scene and eight people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, Tisch said. So far, police have not made any arrests and investigators are trying to find surveillance video of the incident. Officer discovered a gun on nearby Bedford Avenue, but it was not immediately clear if it was part of the lounge shooting.

A 31-year-old man was gunned down outside of his Brooklyn home, cops said Friday. Hakeim Hutchinson, 31, was outside his Rockaway Parkway home near Ditmas Ave. in Canarsie at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday when a man in a white t-shirt and black sweatpants stormed up to him and shot him in the chest. A witness in Hutchinson's home heard the shot and looked outside, finding the victim sprawled out on the sidewalk, a police source said. A second witness heard the shot and saw the gunman running down Rockaway Parkway toward Ditmas Ave. EMS rushed Hutchinson to Brookdale University Hospital, where he died. The gunman ran off. No arrests have been made. Cops on Friday were scouring the area looking for surveillance footage that will help them identify the shooter.

Two young men were shot, one fatally, when a gunman opened fire at them on a Brooklyn street, cops said Friday. The two victims, ages 21 and 25, were on Avenue L near E. 94th St. in Canarsie at about 10:40 p.m. Thursday when the unidentified suspect opened fire. The 21-year-old victim was found sprawled out on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head when police arrived, cops said. The 25-year-old victim had been shot in the right leg. Both victims were taken to Brookdale University Hospital, where the younger man died. His name was not immediately disclosed Friday. The older victim is expected to survive, cops said. So far, he's refused to talk to police about what happened, a police source with knowledge of the case said. Cops on Friday were searching for surveillance video that could help investigators determine what happened and identify the shooter.
