Aishwarya Rai's 'Bhabhi' Shrima Recreates Her Cannes Look After Denying To Use Actor For Clout
On Monday, Shrima dropped a video on Instagram where she recreated Aishwarya's bold Gaurav Gupta look from the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
Beauty influencer Shrima Rai is making headlines for her glamorous tribute to her sister-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. On Monday, Shrima dropped a video on Instagram where she recreated Aishwarya's bold Gaurav Gupta look from the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. The look featured bright eye makeup, glossy red lips, and soft voluminous curls.
Interestingly, this comes just months after Shrima had firmly denied ever using her familial connection with Aishwarya for attention or clout. The Bollywood icon is married to Shrima's brother-in-law, actor Abhishek Bachchan, but Shrima has kept her personal and professional lives largely separate until now.
Posting the video as the final installment in her Cannes-themed makeup recreation series, Shrima captioned the clip with a full list of makeup products she used, tagging top beauty brands like L'Oreal Paris, Dior, MAC, and PAC Cosmetics. She also added hashtags like #shrimarai, #aishwaryaraibachchan, and #cannes2025, giving a clear nod to the inspiration behind the look.

Fans flooded the comments with praise, calling Shrima 'stunning" and 'humble." One comment read, 'Please bring Aishwarya with you, would love to see both of you together," to which Shrima responded with a heart emoji. Another fan wrote, 'Wow…Your features are more beautiful than her."
This is a noticeable shift from Shrima's earlier stance on keeping her relationship with Aishwarya away from her online identity. In a now-deleted Instagram post from November last year titled 'Facts," Shrima clarified that she has built her career independently. 'I have NEVER tried to open any business with anyone's name," she had written. She also highlighted her earlier career as a banker and her win as Gladrags Mrs. India Globe 2009, insisting that her family — including her husband, parents, and in-laws — could vouch for her integrity.
Shrima had also previously responded to a comment asking why she never posted photos of Aishwarya or Aaradhya Bachchan by saying, 'You can head over to her page to find all the images of her… not a single one of us."
