Canon Announces New imagePROGRAF TC-21 and TC-21M 24' Large Format Printers

Designed with Improved Usability, Versatility, and -Adjustable Tilt Panel Features for Small Offices and More The TC-21 Series handles a wide range of tasks, from architectural prints to restaurant posters and pharmacy labels The TC-21M features Split & Enlarge Copy for creating large prints from smaller originals or dividing images for easier handling Melville, NY, April 16, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, is proud to introduce two new 24-inch large-format desktop printers: the imagePROGRAF TC-21 and TC-21M. These versatile and compact printers are designed to meet the demands of a wide range of applications, including up to ARCH D sized technical drawings, posters, and even small postcard-sized prints. Offering superior 4-color pigment ink printing, the TC-21 and TC-21M models are ideal for businesses in various industries, from small and home offices to architecture, retail, hospitality, and education. The imagePROGRAF TC-21 and TC-21M build upon the success of Canon's imagePROGRAF TC-20 and TC-20M, launched in 2023, and incorporates several key enhancements. A standout feature is the new tilt-type operation panel, which can be adjusted to suit the user's viewpoint and installation location. This user-friendly panel improves accessibility, making the TC-21 ideal for both small and large workspaces. The TC-21 Series is designed to handle a wide variety of tasks, including printing and copying (TC-21M only) of architectural drawings, restaurant posters, flyers, and even pharmacy medicine labels. Both the TC-21 and TC-21M share a space-saving design that allows all printing-related operations – from paper loading to ink filling – to be performed from the front of the unit. This intuitive design helps ensure ease of use in compact environments. Additionally, both models support large-format printing from roll paper up to 24' and feature a standard Auto Sheet Feeder, capable of holding up to 100 sheets1 including a variety of paper types and sizes such as A3, A4, postcards, envelopes, and labels. A key feature of both the TC-21 and TC-21M is the Minimal Margin Printing2 function, which enables users to print with no top or bottom margins and very small side margins. This functionality is perfect for creating eye-catching posters and impactful designs. Canon's PosterArtist software, available in both desktop ($425) and online (free) editions, helps further simplify the design process, allowing users to easily create visually stunning posters and flyers. Improvements in print quality were also implemented, even for inexpensive plain paper types. Both models also feature quiet operation, helping to ensure noise reduction during printing and paper feeding, making them perfect for environments where noise is a concern. Another notable feature of the TC-21M is its scanning capabilities, which add further versatility for users who need to capture and digitize physical documents. The TC-21M also includes new features like Split & Enlarge Copy, which allows users to easily create larger prints from smaller originals by printing on multiple sheets of roll paper and later positioning these together, or to divide an image into multiple segments for easier printing and handling. To support efficient printing, both models come with a full set of 70ml ink bottles (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black), providing a total of 280ml of ink. This high-capacity ink system is designed to help ensure that businesses can print more without frequent ink refills. In line with the company's commitment to sustainability, both printers incorporate eco-friendly materials. The TC-21 and TC-21M use recycled resin for about 40% of their resin components3. Notably, the TC-21 is the first model in the imagePROGRAF series to include recycled steel in its construction. Additionally, Canon has eliminated polystyrene foam from its packaging, opting instead for recyclable cardboard. Both printers are currently certified registered as EPEAT Gold and ENERGY STAR® products, evidencing that they meet rigorous environmental standards. 'We are thrilled to offer the imagePROGRAF TC-21 and TC-21M, two innovative printers that combine versatility, ease of use, and environmentally friendly design,' said Kiyoshi Oka, executive vice president and general manager, Marketing Strategy Unit, Canon U.S.A., Inc. 'Whether printing CAD designs, posters, or marketing materials, these printers are designed to support a wide range of industries with their advanced features, efficiency, and sustainability.' Canon Unveils New Lenses for High-Level Social Creators Seeking Visual Excellence and Greater Expression Across Stills and Cinematic Video

Canon RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ Canon RF20mm F1.4 L VCM Melville, NY, March 26, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, has announced two new lenses designed for social media creators: the RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ, Canon's first RF Lens with Power Zoom optimized for cinematic video, and the RF20mm F1.4 L VCM, a f/1.4 hybrid prime lens that enables high levels of expression across photo and video shooting. The RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ lens is designed with a variety of shooting scenarios and needs in mind, from cinematic video to livestreaming and selfie POV. The RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ lens is packed with convenient functions for both still and video formats, including a wide angle of view, smooth cinema-style Auto Focus, optical Image Stabilization that suppresses blur in challenging situations, and more. Its uniform design and simple operability make it a worthy standard lens for the new Canon EOS R50 V camera, also announced today. When paired, the camera and lens make a beautiful, minimalist package, although the lens can also be seamlessly matched with Canon's larger EOS R series of cameras. The outstanding feature of the RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ lens is its power zoom design. Its fixed-length zoom with customizable control rings allows each individual creator to achieve their desired style and expressive intentions, while its ease of use allows them to prioritize their creative flow above all else. The use of a ring-style control for power zoom operations instead of a button or lever makes it possible to zoom from any direction regardless of shooting style. This gives more flexibility in angle of view adjustments, allowing users to enjoy great creative possibilities with smooth zooming while securely holding the camera, or zooming to change the angle of view from the front when taking selfies. And in vertical orientation, it provides outstanding operability that does not interfere with camera controls. The RF20mm F1.4 L VCM is a 20mm ultra wide-angle lens and is the fourth addition to Canon's RF Hybrid Prime series specifically designed for creators who switch between photo and video shooting. This lens pushes the boundaries of creative expression, offering extensive width, and depth, and beautiful dramatic effects for those who seek a high level of output across still and video shooting. Perfect for creators, video journalists, corporate video professionals, and independent filmmakers, the new RF20mm F1.4 L VCM lens is an impressive addition to Canon's products that cater to the new era of hybrid shooting needs. The lens features quiet, fast, and precise AF for both still and video shooting due to Canon's actuator and focusing systems. It features dramatically reduced focus breathing compared to non-VCM lens, an iris ring for convenient movie shooting, and more. The unbeatable expressive power of an f/1.4 large aperture combined with shallow depth of field lends outstanding optical performance and enables rich, dynamic bokeh. The RF20mm F1.4 L VCM can also be used for shooting rich and clear videos and stills in dark places without increasing the sensitivity. Additionally, the UD and Super UD lenses and the Blue Refractive (BR) optics dramatically reduce the color bleeding that tends to occur with large aperture lenses. The design of Canon's RF Hybrid Prime series, now with the addition of the RF20mm F1.4 L VCM lens, was conceptualized to take full advantage of the RF Mount with its minimalist features and compact nature, to create an elegant, sleek camera package that any creator would be proud to take out of their camera bag. Pricing and AvailabilityThe RF-S14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ Lens is currently scheduled to be available in July 2025 for an estimated retail price of $329.99.* The RF20mm F1.4 L VCM is currently scheduled to be available in April 2025 for an estimated retail price of $1,699.00.* For additional information, please visit About Canon U.S.A. Canon Celebrates 22nd Consecutive Year of No. 1 Share of Global Interchangeable-Lens Digital Camera Market

Melville, NY, Feb. 24, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Canon U.S.A., Inc. today announced that its parent company, Canon Inc. is celebrating that the company's interchangeable-lens digital cameras (digital SLR and mirrorless cameras) have maintained the No. 1 share1 of the global market for 22 consecutive years from 2003 to 2024. Canon's EOS series of interchangeable lens digital cameras is an imaging system based on the basic concept of 'Speed, Comfort, and High Image Quality,' for which the company has developed proprietary key components, including CMOS image sensors, the DIGIC image processors, and interchangeable lenses. Putting together a wide-ranging product lineup—from high-performance flagship models that are highly trusted by professionals to entry-level models that allow users to enjoy full-scale shooting with easy operation, as well as a rich selection of over 1202 RF and EF series lenses that make possible a wealth of creative expression—Canon continues to support the diverse needs of customers. Throughout its 22-year history, the EOS series has led the market with a range of outstanding models. During the dawn of digital SLR cameras, Canon introduced its breakthrough EOS Kiss Digital (EOS Digital Rebel or EOS 300D in other regions) in September 2003. By launching this groundbreaking camera, which was competitively priced and featured a compact, lightweight design, Canon spurred growth in the digital SLR market, capturing the top share of the global market and heralding the age of digital SLR cameras. Canon has continued to release further innovative cameras by launching the professional-model EOS-1D series and the EOS 5D series, which paved the way for digital SLR video recording. The company's desire to further expand the boundaries of visual expression led to its next-generation EOS R SYSTEM, launched in October 2018, that includes the full-frame mirrorless camera EOS R5—the first camera to feature 8K video recording3—released in July 2020 and the EOS R3 in November 2021, which features tracking of fast-moving subjects and continuous shooting performance. In addition, it launched the EOS VR SYSTEM, designed to record video for virtual reality content, in December 2021. In 2024, Canon managed to secure the No. 1 share of the global market once again for the 22nd consecutive year by further enhancing its lineup of EOS R Series cameras and lenses. For cameras, Canon released the EOS R5 Mark II (August 2024), a full-frame mirrorless camera that combines the capability to cover shooting in a wide range of scenarios with a single camera with mobility, and the EOS R1 (November 2024), the first flagship model of the EOS R SYSTEM. Both models featured the new image processing system 'Accelerated Capture' and included diverse video shooting functions accumulated through the CINEMA EOS SYSTEM for achieving high-speed analysis and high-speed shooting. As for lenses, in 2024 Canon expanded its L-series lineup of large-aperture single-focus lenses, which contribute to full-fledged video production, and added 15 models of RF lenses4, including two types of lenses that facilitate making 3D VR videos to meet the growing demand for video and handle 3D imaging. Going forward, Canon will continue to refine its proprietary imaging technologies while bringing fulfillment and excitement to people's daily lives as well as promoting the spread of photo and video culture by providing products, services, and solutions that meet its customers' diverse needs.
