Police looking to identify teenager found in Rock Creek Regional Park

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. () — Police in Montgomery County are asking for the community's help in identifying human remains that were found in Rock Creek Regional Park earlier this month. The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said a hiker discovered a human skull on Saturday, March 1. Officers responded to the wooded area and located additional human bones, along with a winter hat, jacket and pants. No identification was found at the scene. Capital Wheel at National Harbor to glow with dazzling new lights Examples of the items found at the scene can be found below: The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the clothes and remains belonged to a Hispanic male in his late teens, who was about five feet and five inches tall. His cause and manner of death have not yet been determined. MCPD is asking anyone with information that could help determine who the person is – or if they recognize the clothing as belonging to someone missing – to contact police at 301-279-8000.
