Shock: Jeremy Clarkson Is Back On A Car Show
Read the full story on Backfire News Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear and The Grand Tour fame reportedly is starring in a new car show that was filmed entirely in secret. This comes after it seemed the man was done doing car-related shows, favoring his series about the plights of farming instead. But the man's returning to the motoring world might not be what you to Yahoo Entertainment, Clarkson secretly filmed an episode of a British car show called Car SOS, which is produced by National Geographic. The series, which is hosted by Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townshend, features old cars being restored by a team of experts for owners who can't do the work themselves. Those owners are usually selected because of tear-jerking story, so it's a feel-good car show. Loved ones sign the people up in secret and the classic rides are whisked away to be restored without the owner's knowledge. Then a big emotional reveal is staged and everyone cries. It's apparently quite popular in the UK and we can see why. From time to time the hosts bring a celebrity guest on to help out. Yahoo Entertainment says Gordon Ramsay, who is a huge gearhead, was on one episode. That's why Clarkson participated in the filming of a recent episode. In that episode, a Land Rover Discovery Series 1 is restored without the owner's knowledge. Clarkson participates in the big reveal, although we don't know exactly how. While this might not be the return to motoring TV shows everyone was hoping for when it came to Jeremy Clarkson, this is what we get. We'd expect the man is on form, being sarcastic and grumpy about the Land Rover and vehicles in general. If only Clarkson would launch his own car show, something like Clarkson's Farm. Maybe something about owning an automotive repair shop and the struggles that involves? Image via Image via jeremyclarkson1/Instagram

Jeremy Clarkson films for National Geographic car show
Jeremy Clarkson has filmed an appearance for 'Car SOS'. The former 'Grand Tour' and 'Top Gear' presenter will appear on the National Geographic show's new series as he helps out with the restoration of a Land Rover Discovery Series 1. Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, host Tim Shaw said: "We spent about half an hour with Jeremy and he was warm, friendly and, of course, typically sarcastic and funny. "He genuinely cared about the wellbeing of both the team and, most importantly, the car's owner." The 64-year-old star even let the show hold a big reveal at his home, with a "coach load of people" in attendance. Tim added: "Jeremy was happy for us to bring a full coach load of people. "I mean, think about it - 60 strangers turning up at your property." Jeremy will also be back on screen in May for the fourth series of 'Clarkson's Farm' on Amazon Prime Video, while the show has already been renewed for a fifth season. The programme follows the trials and tribulations of his Diddly Squat Farm, and his former co-star James May admitted he is surprised by its longevity. He told the Radio Times magazine: "Yes, because [Jeremy's] not very practical. "He's deeply afraid of anything physical or manual. It's given him a new purpose, which he possibly needed. "Maybe it's a big moment for all of us. We've paused to think about who we really are." The 61-year-old presenter revealed he, Jeremy and their co-star Richard Hammond still chat after 'The Grand Tour' came to an end, and he's sure they'll enjoy each other's company more now that it's not an obligation. He added: "I've spoken to them a few times and I suspect we'll go out for a beer somewhere - just because we can - not because we have to come up with some gags, plan a road trip or choose some cars, but for the hell of it. "It'd be quite interesting."

Jeremy Clarkson makes motoring show return after announcing retirement
Jeremy Clarkson will make his return to the TV motoring genre in a forthcoming episode of Car SOS. The former Top Gear host, 64, took a step back from the genre after the final episode of The Grand Tour aired in September 2024, which he co-hosted with longtime collaborators James May and Richard Hammond. Clarkson has been focussing his attention on his Diddy Squat farm, which is the centre of the Amazon series Clarkson's Farm, as well as his brewery company Hawkstone and recently-opened Oxfordshire pub, The Farmer's Dog. The TV presenter will make a brief return to the motoring genre alongside hosts Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townshend for a special episode of Car SOS, which sees Clarkson help repair and restore an old Land Rover Discovery Series 1. The episode will air in March. Host Shaw has said in a recent interview that Clarkson kindly allowed the crew to film the final reveal of the motor at his home. Shaw told The Daily Star: 'Jeremy was happy for us to bring a full coach load of people. I mean, think about it – 60 strangers turning up at your property!' He said: 'We spent about half an hour with Jeremy and he was warm, friendly, and, of course, typically sarcastic and funny. 'He genuinely cared about the wellbeing of both the team, and most importantly, the car's owner.' Clarkson departed The Grand Tour after the finale aired in September, which saw the three stars head out in cars they've always wanted to own. Co-presenter James May recently explained why his TV partnership with Clarkson and Hammond came to an end – saying that it was time to make way for the younger generation. He said: 'The idea was to land the car show format safely and not fly it into a cliff. We only cleared the cliff by a few feet but I think it will survive.' May also said he wasn't 'in mourning' over the show's conclusion as he thinks they 'gave the format a really good thrashing and now it's time to let a younger generation have a go'. Clarkson has continued to present reality series Clarkson's Farm, which follows Clarkson as he owns and operates his own 1,000-acre farm near Chipping Norton, as well as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? on ITV. In an Instagram video last November, Clarkson confirmed that Clarkson's Farm had been renewed for a fifth season, with the fourth set to be released soon. 'Over the years bright lights in the sky have been used to make many important announcements, the birth of the baby Jesus for example,' Clarkson told followers. 'But tonight they're being used to make an announcement that's even bigger than that. Season 5 of Clarkson's Farm is coming.'
