He'll be joining Ian Wright to share his insights on the Crystal Palace v Manchester City showpiece. Known for his formidable presence as a midfielder during his playing days, Keane has now carved out a reputation as one of the most outspoken pundits in football, winning over a host of fans with his fiery takes on the modern game. ‌ The ex-United, Nottingham Forest and Celtic player was also one of the most successful footballers of his era, boasting seven Premier League titles, four FA Cups, four Community Shields and a Champions League win during his 12-year tenure with the Red Devils. ‌ Despite his tough persona on the pitch and in the studio, Keane has increasingly revealed a softer side away from football, offering some amusing glimpses into his family life via social media. Married to Theresa Doyle since 1997 after meeting five years earlier during his Forest days, they have five children - Shannon, Caragh, Aidan, Leah and Alanna - and two grandchildren. Caragh, the second-eldest daughter of a well-known father, spoke poignantly about her gruelling struggle with lupus and praised her father's "brilliant sense of humour" for supporting her during her toughest moments. Diagnosed in 2021, the 29 year old has endured severe fatigue and intense pain that made her fear her "life was over". Article continues below Previously, Caragh faced joint pain, alopecia and excruciating skin blisters, which shattered her ambition to become a teacher and confronted her with the reality of needing lifelong immunosuppressants or chemotherapy. Nevertheless, embracing a new diet rich in anti-inflammatory and gut-friendly foods has markedly eased her symptoms. This personal victory inspired her to launch Superkeen Foods, an award-winning company dedicated to aiding fellow lupus sufferers in their recovery journey. "When I was diagnosed, I mourned the person I had been and the person I felt I should have been," she told PA Real Life in a touching admission. "But when I look at it now, it's obviously led me on this journey and I'm grateful for the good moments. ‌ "Since your immune system is essentially attacking itself, you feel like you only have yourself to blame, which is horrible. You think, 'Why is my own body attacking itself? What have I done to cause this?'. In the darkest times, I thought, 'There's no way out of this'." Acknowledging the significant role her parents play in her life, she mentioned: "My mum very much believes in the power of your body being able to heal itself... and even when I have flare-ups with my health, she helps put things back into perspective. "My dad is incredible as well. He's the best person for advice and I think he's helped me so much. I feel really lucky to have them." ‌ Roy Keane's younger daughter Leah, affectionately nicknamed 'Number 4' by the football great, recently made waves after announcing her engagement to Southampton and England star Taylor Harwood-Bellis. Despite typically shunning the limelight, the pair unveiled last November that they've been an item for half a decade and are now engaged, with Harwood-Bellis popping the question on a yacht on the Amalfi Coast over the summer. Leah shared the romantic moment on Instagram with the caption: "'I can't wait to marry you." Keane, known for his razor-sharp wit, couldn't resist a light-hearted remark following the news during his pundit stint on ITV in November. As Harwood-Bellis netted a goal on his England debut against the Republic of Ireland, Keane quipped that the situation was "bittersweet", considering the engagement was "not done and dusted yet". Article continues below The United icon commented: "Over the last few months he's definitely been a goal threat playing for Southampton, it's nice for him. It's great for him to make his debut, as I said he's a bit of a goal threat. He's a nice kid, his family has done a great job."

Roy Keane's daughter, 29, opens up on life-changing lupus diagnosis and reveals how the Man United legend is supporting her

Roy Keane 's daughter has opened up on her life-changing health diagnosis. Carragh Keane, 29, is battling incurable autoimmune condition lupus, which she was diagnosed with in 2021. The disease causes joint pain, skin rashes and tiredness and led to her turning down her first job in teaching. As reported by The Sun, Carragh said: 'In the summer of 2021, I developed blisters on my fingers and toes, which a dermatologist told me were chilblains. 'But that didn't make any sense, given the warm weather. 'I was also suffering from fatigue and struggled to keep my eyes open while driving. 'I even fell asleep during a haircut once, which was mortifying.' Carragh discussed the disappointment that she felt as she was forced to turn down her dream job. She said: 'Once, when I was driving home from an interview for my dream job as a primary school teacher, my hips, knees and wrists were so painful I could barely turn the steering wheel. 'The role was everything I'd worked towards since graduating from the University of St Andrews, but when the headteacher called to offer it to me, I choked back tears and told him I couldn't accept it as I wasn't well. 'After that day, I crashed. My hair fell out in clumps, I was covered head to toe in blisters and too weak to get out of bed.' Carragh was diagnosed with lupus and described her Dad, Manchester United legend Roy, as 'the most supportive person'. Carragh is the second-oldest of five children that Roy shares with wife Theresa Doyle. She said: 'My dad is the most supportive person, and my mum Theresa is super-positive, too, which stopped me spiralling. Caragh has launched Superkeen Foods, which sells organic foods that help others who are suffering with lupus. She said: 'When I look at it now, it's obviously led me on this journey and I'm grateful for the food moments. 'With the main overarching aim of being inclusive and knowing you're not alone, I hope I can help people. 'Everyone's on their own journey but we're all in it together. 'I started eating real whole foods so I focused on good meat, fish and healthy fats, veggies and fruits, gut-healing foods like bone broth and fermented food, and supplements. 'I started noticing my hair growing back and all my blisters started fading on my face. 'My joint pain subsided after a few months and then I remember think, 'There are lots of people out there suffering that don't know the healing properties of food'.' Caragh described her father as 'one of the funniest people you will meet'. Caragh told The Irish Independent: 'Do you know what so many people say? He's a bit of an enigma. But being my dad, he's just one of the funniest people you will meet. He is so very witty. 'He's kind of a unique individual. I'm very grateful to have him, and he's great to chat to. You'll always get good advice from my dad. 'With our Irish background, he's always very "let go of things" or "you're on a path" and "someone's looking out for you". When I've been at my lowest, that's been really helpful.

Roy Keane's daughter reveals how Man Utd icon is helping her through incurable condition

Roy Keane's daughter Caragh has been battling lupus for four years, with the legendary Manchester United captain playing a key role in her recovery from the disease Roy Keane's daughter has opened up on her battle with lupus with the Manchester United legend supporting her through it. Caragh Keane is one of the Sky Sports pundit's five children. But she has experienced a difficult few years after developing lupus. It is not contagious, instead it's an autoimmune disease where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues. ‌ The exact cause is unknown, but a combination of genetic, hormonal, and environmental factors are believed to play a role. The 29-year-old developed the incurable disease back in the summer of 2021. She began suffering blisters on her fingers and toes, with a dermatologist diagnosing her with chilblains, despite the warm weather. Keane also began suffering with fatigue and even struggled to stay awake while driving or having a haircut. She was also afflicted with joint pain, forcing her to reject her dream job as a primary school teacher, and hair loss, with her hair falling out in clumps. After hitting what she describes as 'rock bottom' Keane was eventually diagnosed with lupus and her recovery began. "There is no single test for the autoimmune condition, however various markers in the blood can point towards it. All of these were present in my system. Before my diagnosis, I had only heard about lupus because of Selena Gomez, who discovered she had the disease in 2013," Keane told The Sun. "I was clueless about the details and, with no definitive cause, I went down a Google rabbit hole for answers. I found horror stories of organ issues and people becoming reliant on immunosuppressants, such as chemotherapy medication. "My dad is the most supportive person, and my mum Theresa is super-positive, too, which stopped me spiralling. I'll never be cured, but I manage lupus with supplements, diet and lifestyle. It's a work in progress, and I occasionally get flare-ups, which mean hair loss and pain." ‌ Keane works to prevent flare-ups, changing her diet, working to alleviate stress and curtailing playing competitive sports. Since making steps in her recovery, Caragh has launched a healthy foods company. The business focuses on selling organic and healthy food products to the public. Her father was instrumental in getting it off the ground, with the former United skipper providing financial and moral support. ‌ He told the Stick to Football podcast in a joint appearance with Caragh: "When you started you asked me to support you, I said 'Yeah go for it girl'.". He then humorously described their business meeting: "Can I have some money daddy? That was the business meeting!" The football legend showed his generosity, adding: "I said yeah, take it, whatever you need. It was more than what I thought to get a company up and running, it's been hard work."

The former Manchester United star will be alongside Ian Wright as he gives his take on Cardiff City's visit to Aston Villa, with the Bluebirds hoping to reach the cup quarter-finals for the first time since 2008, when they went all the way to the final at Wembley. However, despite his formidable reputation on the pitch and in the studio, Keane has increasingly shown his softer side away from football, sharing some humorous insights into his family life on social media. He has been married to wife Theresa Doyle since 1997, with the pair meeting five years earlier during Keane's days at Forest. Together, they have five children together - Shannon, Caragh, Aidan, Leah and Alanna - as well as two grandchildren. His second-eldest, Caragh, recently shared her agonising health battle and credited her famous dad's "brilliant sense of humour" with helping her through her darkest days. The 29-year-old was diagnosed with lupus, an incurable autoimmune condition, in 2021 and has since suffered extreme fatigue and intense pain which left her fearing that her "life was over". Prior to her diagnosis, she suffered joint pain, alopecia and painful blisters on her skin, with the pain derailing her dream of becoming a teacher and leaving her facing the prospect of taking immunosuppressants for life, as well as potential chemotherapy. However, since changing her diet and focusing on anti-inflammatory and gut-friendly foods, Caragh says her symptoms have improved significantly. This has led her to establish Superkeen Foods, her own award-winning brand aimed at helping others with lupus in their healing process. "When I was diagnosed, I mourned the person I had been and the person I felt I should have been," she recently told PA Real Life. "But when I look at it now, it's obviously led me on this journey and I'm grateful for the good moments. "My dad is incredible as well. He's the best person for advice and I think he's helped me so much. I feel really lucky to have them." One of Keane's younger daughters, Leah - who is lovingly referred to by the United legend as 'Number 4' - has also made headlines recently after getting engaged to Southampton and England defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis. While they previously shied away from the spotlight, the couple - who are believed to have been dating for five years - disclosed in November that the footballer had proposed to her over the summer. In an Instagram post, Harwood-Bellis was seen getting down on knee on a yacht on the Amalfi Coast, with Leah adding the caption: "'I can't wait to marry you." Keane gave his own unique seal of approval to the relationship in November, as Harwood-Bellis scored on his England debut in a 5-0 win over the Republic of Ireland. The defender's new father-in-law was on punditry duty for ITV for the match and joked that the goal was "bittersweet" for him, with the engagement "not done and dusted yet". However, the United legend added: "Over the last few months he's definitely been a goal threat playing for Southampton, it's nice for him. It's great for him to make his debut, as I said he's a bit of a goal threat. He's a nice kid, his family has done a great job."
