Wendy's, Girl Scouts partner on a new Thin Mints cookie-inspired Frosty flavor
Buckle up, Texas: Wendy's is launching a new Frosty flavor inspired by another beloved treat. Last week the fast-food chain unveiled the Thin Mints Frosty, which the fast-food restaurant says combines the flavor profiles of two "iconic fan favorites" for a delectable and minty treat. Wendy's partnered with Girl Scouts of the USA to serve up the newest Frosty flavor at restaurants nationwide starting in February. "Plus, everyone knows Thin Mints are extra delicious when frozen (Girl Scout's Honor), so Wendy's is giving you another delicious way to experience the frozen flavor a Girl Scouts best-seller!" Wendy's said in a news release. "Each bite pairs minty-chocolatey, crumbly, cookie butter texture with the cool, creamy Frosty." "Wendy's new Thin Mints Frosty is an amazing tribute to the countless Girl Scouts who have made Thin Mints a household name, all while learning skills like entrepreneurism, goal setting, business ethics and more,' Wendy Lou, chief revenue officer for GSUSA said in a statement. Girl Scout cookie season starting soon in Iowa
URBANDALE, Iowa — Girl Scout Cookie season kicks off in Iowa on Saturday, February 1st and goes through Sunday, March 23rd. This year's cookie lineup includes Adventurefuls, Caramel Chocolate Chip, Caramel Delites, Lemonades, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Thin Mints, Trefoil and at the end of the season Toast-Yay will be retired. At a national level cookie flavor Smores will also be discontinued. Smores is not available this year through the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa. Cookies cost $6 per package.
