Tamkeen Conducts 6,200 Inspection Visits During the First Half of the Year

The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) confirmed its ongoing regulatory efforts through inspection visits targeting enterprises benefitting from its various support programs, including Employment Support Programs, Career Progression Programs and Enterprise Support Programs. These efforts aim to ensure support is directed at eligible beneficiaries, as well as taking the necessary measures to address any gaps or violations identified in coordination with the relevant government entities. A total of 6,200 inspections have been conducted throughout the first half of the year for beneficiaries of employment and career development programs. As a result, 25 violations were identified and referred to the relevant authorities for further action. Tamkeen continuously works to enhance its internal processes and takes the necessary actions regarding any identified violations. Violations are managed according to their nature: administrative breaches, such as breaches of support requirements, regulations, and policies in effect at Tamkeen, are addressed in accordance with the regulatory framework for violations related to suppliers and beneficiaries of Tamkeen. These violations may result in penalties such as the recovery of disbursed funds, temporary suspension from Tamkeen support, or both. Suspected criminal violations, such as illegal employment or wage manipulation, are referred to authorities, with Tamkeen retaining the right to impose administrative sanctions upon decision issuance by the relevant authorities. Tamkeen commended strong cooperation with partner entities in reporting violations via the designated channels, reflecting a shared commitment to serving the public interest and a collective awareness of the responsibility to safeguard public funds. Tamkeen also stressed the importance of full compliance with all terms and conditions outlined in support approvals, encouraged beneficiaries to seek clarification on any support-related approvals, and called for cooperation with its inspectors during inspection visits. Beneficiaries are also urged to provide accurate information and documentation which contributes to enhancing the efficiency of oversight processes and ensuring that support is directed to those who are truly eligible. Tamkeen renews its call to all, whether beneficiaries or non-beneficiaries of support programs, to report any suspected violations through its dedicated channels, which include the web page at hotline at 17383383, and email at [email protected].
