Nottingham Forest sign London City Lionesses goalkeeper Poor on loan
Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of London City Lionesses goalkeeper Sophia Poor on a season-long loan deal. The Tricky Trees announced the news via a post on their official club website yesterday. The 19-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at London City Lionesses from former club Aston Villa. The player provided some strong competition for the number one goalkeeping jersey. Poor rejoined London City Lionesses on a permanent deal this summer. Poor started out with Leicester City before joining Aston Villa in 2023. The player is now returning to the Midlands after joining Nottingham Forest on loan. After adding Poor to her squad, Nottingham Forest boss Carly Davies said 'We're really pleased to welcome Sophia to the Club ahead of the new season. 'Sophia is a talented young goalkeeper who brings composure, sharp reflexes, and a real presence in the box. She's shown great potential and maturity so far in her career, and we believe she has all the attributes to thrive in our environment. 'We're excited to have her on board and look forward to seeing her grow and contribute to what we're building this season.' Poor is Nottingham Forest's sixth signing of the summer transfer window.

Nottingham Forest sign Chelsea forward Claypole
Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Chelsea forward Aimee Claypole on a permanent deal. The Tricky Trees announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon. The 19-year-old attacker is a product of the Chelsea academy system. She went on to make her senior debut for the club before going out on loan to gain first team experience. Claypole spent time with former second tier club Lewes and Norwegian side Linköping FC before joining Durham on loan for the second half of last season. On the international stage, Claypole has represented England at various youth levels. After adding Claypole to her squad, Nottingham Forest head coach Carly Davies said 'We are so pleased Aimee has joined us. Securing her signing is another statement of intent for the impact we're looking to have in the WSL2. 'Aimee is an exciting player, someone who has an eye for goal and we are confident she will add something different to the team. Nottingham Forest sign former West Ham United full-back Smith
Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of former West Ham United full-back Kirsty Smith on a free transfer. The Tricky Trees announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning. Advertisement The 31-year-old Scottish international defender joins Nottingham Forest after leaving former club West Ham United at the end of her contract earlier this summer. Smith spent three years with West Ham United in which she made 73 appearances for the club in all competitions and scored two goals. She was given 14 outings in last season's Barclays Women's Super League. The player is a former Barclays WSL2 title-winner. She achieved the feat in 2018/2019 with former club Manchester United. Smith spent four years with The Red Devils in which she helped the club to establish themselves as a Barclays Women's Super League club. After completing her move to The City Ground, Smith said 'I'm excited to be here, knowing all of the history of the Club, it's really ambitious and I'm delighted to have signed. Nottingham Forest sign experienced midfielder Rodgers
Nottingham Forest have completed the impressive signing of experienced midfielder Amy Rodgers. The Tricky Trees announced the news via a post on their official club website this evening. Rodgers joins Nottingham Forest on a free transfer after leaving former club Bristol City earlier this week. Advertisement The midfielder started her senior career with Liverpool and she has since turned out for London City Lionesses and Bristol City. On the international stage, Rodgers has represented Soctland on 11 occasions after making her debut for The Tartan Army in 2023. After adding Rodgers to her squad, Nottingham Forest head coach Carly Davies said 'Amy joins the Club with a wealth of experience, having previously played in the Women's Super League and internationally with Scotland. 'She is a composed and technically gifted central midfielder and has a proven pedigree at this level. She is a fantastic addition to the squad; her vision, work rate and leadership qualities will be a huge asset to us both on and off the pitch. Forest boss Davies eyes double after 'elation' of cup win
