Wisconsin Recruiting Heats Up with Commitment from Bah

Wisconsin Recruiting Heats Up with Commitment from Bah originally appeared on Athlon Sports. After a slow start to building its 2026 recruiting class, the Wisconsin football program is starting to heat up. Using momentum during official visits, the Badgers are starting to add players to their class. Advertisement One of those players is defensive lineman Djidjou Bah, out of Germantown, Tennessee. The 6-3, 253-pound defensive lineman is considered a 3-star prospect according to 247Sports. Bah picked the Badgers over a handful of Power 4 teams, including Iowa, Indiana, Michigan State, Northwestern, and more. He announced his commitment to Wisconsin on social media. While Bah is listed as a defensive lineman on the recruiting site, Bah's primary recruiter from the Badgers is linebackers coach Matt Mitchell. It may not mean anything, but it could also be an indicator that the Badgers are looking to use Bah as an edge rusher rather than a defensive lineman. Advertisement The Badgers already have Carmelow Reed in the class, who is also listed as a defensive lineman, but the Badgers are looking to use him as an edge rusher. Reed's commitment to the Badgers, however, may be in question after he took a visit to Ole Miss over the weekend. Bah was scheduled to take his visit before the Reed news broke. But now, Bah's commitment is looking like solid insurance for the Badgers. With the addition of Bah, the Badgers' 2026 class now stands at 10 committed players. Stay tuned, because there are likely to be more commitments in the near future. Related: Badger Commit Flirting with Rebels? Badger Commit Flirting with Rebels? Reed's Ole Miss Visit

Badger Commit Flirting with Rebels? Reed's Ole Miss Visit originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Wisconsin football team's 2026 recruiting class currently stands at seven committed players. Among those players, and the Badgers' top-rated player according to the 247Sports rankings, is defensive lineman/EDGE Carmelow Reed. Advertisement Reed committed to the Badgers at the beginning of April, but his commitment to the Wisconsin football team may not be solid. Despite making a pledge to the Badgers, Reed could have his eyes looking elsewhere. It could be a case of him just making sure he's making the right decision, but in a report from Adam Gorney, the national recruiting director for Rivals and Yahoo Sports, Reed is expected to take a visit to the Ole Miss Rebels this weekend. The 3-star defensive lineman out of Olympia Fields, Illinois, is the 531st-overall player in the 2026 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is the 63rd-ranked defensive lineman and 13th overall player in the state of Illinois. Advertisement He committed to the Badgers over a handful of Power 4 teams, including LSU, Ole Miss, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, and others. Should the Badgers lose their pledge from Carmelow Reed, they will need to turn up the heat on some of their upcoming visits. Whether he is an edge or a defensive lineman, the Badgers are already relatively thin at those positions, especially along the defensive line. Wisconsin football lands commitment from fast-rising class of 2026 edge rusher

Wisconsin football lands commitment from fast-rising class of 2026 edge rusher Wisconsin football landed a commitment from class of 2026 defensive lineman Carmelow Reed on Monday. Reed chose the Badgers over other notable offers from LSU, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri and Ole Miss. He is the program's third commitment in the class, joining wide receiver Tayshon Bardo and offensive lineman Benjamin Novak. 247Sports lists Reed as a three-star recruit, plus ranks him as the No. 532 player in the class, No. 57 defensive lineman and No. 13 recruit from Illinois. The 6-foot-7, 250-pound prospect projects as an edge rusher at the college level. It wouldn't be a surprise if his profile at the position continues to grow as his senior season nears. Reed is one of several players scheduled to visit the Badgers the weekend of June 8. Fellow commits Bardo and Novak are also among that group. Wisconsin's class of 2026 ranks No. 54 nationally after Reed's commitment. With an '88' rating, he's currently the class' top-ranked recruit. Wisconsin is looking to replicate its consecutive top-25 finishes in the 2024 and 2025 recruiting cycles. That may be a tall task, with ace recruiter and former Badgers general manager Max Stienecker gone to USC. Recruiting was one of Luke Fickell's major selling points when he took the Wisconsin job in November of 2022. The 2026 cycle will be an interesting test for that point, as he's forced to sell improvement to high school prospects after the team's 5-7 2024 season and overall 12-13 record with him at the helm.
